According to a report by Starsunfolded, Jiya Shankar was born on April 17, 1995, in Mumbai. As per the same report, Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner, Elvish Yadav, was born on September 14, 1997. If the reports are to be believed, then the duo shares an age gap of 2 years.

On February 5, 2026, Elvish Yadav took to his Instagram Stories and shared a snap. The picture was a close-up shot of two hands, which showcased an exquisite diamond ring worn by the girl. He tagged his fellow contestant, Jiya Shankar, in the post, which seemed like an indirect confirmation that it was Jiya’s hand in the snap. Sharing the snap, Elvish Yadav penned that he gave love another chance. The post was reshared by Jiya on her Instagram Stories and captioned with a red heart emoji. Elvish wrote:

"Gave love another chance & I found my love."

Earlier, in December 2025, a picture featuring Jiya Shankar and a mystery man surfaced online. Many reports claimed that the man in the picture was her fellow contestant, Abhishek Malhan a.k.a Fukra Insaan. Telly Khazan reports claimed that Jiya was all set to get engaged to Abhishek. When the duo was inside the house of BB OTT 2, fans noticed their mushy chemistry and tagged them as 'AbhiYa'. Fans even shipped them on social media. However, when the speculations were rife about their engagement, Jiya’s team dismissed it. The official statement can be read as:

"Jiya has never relied on controversy for momentum. Her focus remains firmly on her craft, personal growth, and the life she has consciously chosen to build with integrity and independence. She is content, secure, and grateful for the love she receives, while choosing to share only what aligns with her values. We urge conversations to remain respectful, positive, and centred on meaningful work rather than speculation, Regards, Team Jiya Shankar."

It is noteworthy to mention that this was not the first time Jiya was linked to her fellow contestant, Abhishek. Earlier, in 2024, Jiya herself reacted to the dating rumours. She took to her X (formerly Twitter) handle and set the record straight. She shared that she and Abhishek shared only friendship. She slammed the reports that claimed the duo was dating. She mentioned that she is self-made and is proud. She wrote:

"Saying this for one last time to whoever it concerns! I’ve got nothing to do with Fukra Insaan or these meme pages. We shared nothing but friendship & even that no longer exists. I don’t even follow any of these meme pages or have any knowledge of how this works. I always assumed them making this sort of stuff for views or I’ve no idea if someone pays for this sh** but if the blame comes on me with nasty comments on my character & family then hear it panda gang, I’m self made loud & proud! I’m because of me and not because of anyone else. Way above these cheap stunts!"
