However, Fatima subtly dismissed the rumours during the trailer launch of her then-upcoming film, Aap Jaisa Koi. When the Dangal actress was asked if she was seeing someone, Fatima shared that she is single. She also talked about the concept of love. She was quoted as saying:

"The one where two people respect each other and listen to each other's thoughts and opinions. Both will have to make equal compromises. When you are in a partnership, you work towards the relationship without losing yourself. I think that is the way to a successful relationship."
