Seth Rogen recently came into the spotlight on the internet after a death rumor about him took over social media. The actor, renowned for his comedy films and impactful writing, began trending on X after a news article claimed that he died at 44. Needless to say, the claim not only shocked fans but also went viral in no time. However, the truth is that Seth Rogen is alive and well. 

What started Seth Rogen's death rumours? 

According to a fake article published by PageShartt, Seth Rogen had passed away. The report included details about his age and story to make it seem credible. Since the article seemed convincing, many social media users began sharing it without verifying the facts. In turn, his name began trending within a few hours. But there is no truth to the claim. No credible news organization has reported Seth Rogen's death. In fact, his social media accounts are active, and he celebrated his 44th birthday on April 15, 2026. 

Since then, he has continued to post about his pottery work, one of his favorite hobbies. As there is online activity on Seth Rogen's profile, it is clear that the reports about his death are false. Many fact-crackers pointed out how the claim was another example of a celebrity death hoax for clicks and ad revenue. Incidentally, it is not the first time that fake death claims have targeted Seth Rogen. 

According to Artvoice, previously in 2025, a similar rumor about Seth Rogen's death went viral on Facebook through a fake "R.I.P Seth Rogen" page. However, again, it turned out to be fake after his representatives stepped in to clarify that he was alive. At that time, his team mentioned how he had joined the growing list of celebrities who were falsely declared dead. In their words:

"He joins the long list of celebrities who this hoax has victimized. He's still alive and well. Stop believing what you see on the Internet."

Seth Rogen's personal life 

Set Rogen lives a private life away in Vancouver, Canada. He grew up in a Jewish household with his parents, Sandy Belogus and Mark Rogen. Eventually, later in his career, Seth mentioned how his parents and his sister gave him adequate support during his early comedy years. Especially, how his mother played a major role in helping him pursue stand-up comedy as a teenager. Seth has been married to Lauren Miller Rogen since 2011. They first met in 2004 and have since been one of the most stable relationships in Hollywood. Together, they have done remarkable charity work in raising Alzheimer's awareness. 

Seth Rogen's professional life 

Seth Rogen built his career from scratch. He first became famous as a teenager for stand-up comedy before securing his breakout role in the popular TV series, Freaks and Geeks.
