Popular reality TV star, Darrell Sheets, known for his bold bids on Storage Wars, has died at 67. Better known to his fans as 'The Gambler,' Darrell passed away in Arizona. The reality TV star's sudden death has left his fans and colleagues in shock. Gradually, authorities are sharing the initial details about the circumstances of his death. According to the Lake Havasu City Police Department, Darrell Sheets was found dead at his home in the early hours of April 22, 2026. Soon, officers were called to the scene around 2:00 a.m. local time, where they found a male with what looked like a gunshot wound. He was pronounced at the scene. Later, authorities confirmed his identity and informed his family. The case was given to the department's Criminal Investigations Unit for further investigation.

According to the initial reports of the Police, Darrell passed away due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. However, investigators are still trying to find out more about what exactly happened leading up to his death. They mentioned in their initial statement that the body has been sent to the Mohave County Medical Examiner's office to confirm the official cause and manner of death. Although the initial findings suggest that Darrell committed suicide, it has not been officially confirmed. Investigators are still trying to find out more about it.

Darrell Sheets faced multiple health struggles during his final days. They also played a role in making the reality star step away from the spotlight. Initially, in 2019, Darrell suffered a heart attack after he was reportedly ill for several months. He was later diagnosed with congestive heart failure and critical lung complications. These led the 67-year-old to seek surgery, which was followed by a long recovery process. Although Darrell showed signs of improvement, he acknowledged that he was not completely healed yet.

After Darrell Sheets' health scare, he retired from TV and moved to Arizona to lead a quiet life. He started an antique store called "Havasu Show Me Your Junk" to continue his connection with the collectibles business. Earlier in his life, Darrell had also faced health-related issues such as pre-diabetes, and underwent a startling weight loss transformation.

Before Darrell Sheets gained fame from TV, he had built a career in the storage auction industry. He stepped into the business after losing his landscape company and began with a simple investment, which drove profits. His expertise and risk-taking approach eventually led him to TV, where he was one of the original cast members of Storage Wars in 2010.

Darrell appeared in more than 160 episodes, during which viewers admired his aggressive bidding style and memorable finds. One of his most famous discoveries was a storage unit with artwork reportedly worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Also, he found rare items, letters, comic books, and more, making him one of the most successful buyers. Darrell also appeared on shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
