The Oberoi guy of Bollywood is finally set to tie the knot with Priyanka Alva, the daughter of late politician Jeevraj Alva, with whom he says he fell in love within twenty minutes of meeting her‼Now, why couldn’t Vivek find someone in the tinsel Bollywood town to get married to? Was experience with Aishwarya too bitter to get over?
A graduate in business administration from London, she has keen interest in social work and works of art. Now we come to the main things regarding the wedding. The Bridal trousseau is designed by the ace couturier Tarun Tahilani who images Vivek Oberoi as an Indian Maharaja and Priyanka as his Maharani.
It is customary for the couple to carry a bridal sword and reportedly, Priyanka has ordered a specially customized sword for her beau, the sheath for which has been designed by Tahilani himself. It is made of rich brocade with precious stones encrusted on the surface.
Vivek’s sherwani is set in deep maroon brocade with rich royal imagery. Underneath, an A-Line Kurta will lend him the ease to ascend the mare during wedding procession and descend later on. Priyanka’s bridal lehenga is set in 14 differently colored panels with peacock motif all over. The lehennga is just above the ankles so that the beautiful anklets (payal) and mehendi designs are set off to the best display. The heirloom jewelry is a beautiful set in antique studded with magnificent rubies, that will set of Priyanka’s attire to the best possible advantage.
The nuptial will take place in Bangalore at a Bungalow, the decoration of which will be carried out keeping in mind the upcoming Diwali festival. The reception in Mumbai will be held on October 31 in a city five star hotel that will be transformed into a bower of all kinds of flowers, from pink roses to carnations to graceful lotuses.
Vivek is truly excited, especially after his latest flick Raktacharitra received rave reviews at the box office. The sequel to the movie is scheduled to be released post Diwali and we wish all the luck and success to the couple.
P.S. I am eagerly waiting for the day when I get to review the nuptial details of Salman Khan!
