VJ-turned-actor, Gaurav Kapur, who is currently well known as the sports anchor of Indian Premier League cricket matches, tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Kirat Bhattal on November 2, 2014. The wedding that was held in Chandigarh, was an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family. As the couple posed with their friends and family, they simply looked like a picture-perfect jodi. We bring to you some of the highs of this wonderful marriage.

Gaurav, who is known for his excellent comic timing, was born and based in Delhi. His stint as a host for IPL has also won him many accolades and his performance in Bollywood movies proves his mettle as an actor. Kirat Bhattal is also Delhi-based, and she is a model and is currently hosting a fashion show with a travel channel. Gaurav and Kirat have known each other for two years now and marriage was the next thing on the cards.

Gaurav has acted in a number of Bollywood movies, including A Wednesday, Darna Mana Hai, Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamaana, Ugly Aur Pagli and Bad Luck Govind. Kirat hosted a fashion show, known as Style and The City.
Talking about his wedding in his quirky and witty style saying, "I suddenly realised I've reached a marriageable age and since we'd been seeing each other for some time it made sense to settle down.” Expressing his feelings for his beautiful lady love, he further added, "Also, she is quite lovely."

Gaurav spilled the beans on his wedding plans just a month before. He was quoted saying in an interview, “Yes, I am getting married and the celebrations start three weeks from now. Our wedding is going to be a national event, with functions in Delhi, of course, and then Mumbai and Chandigarh. With all the travelling, I'm cracking jokes about how I am okay with people inviting us to international locations- New York, Paris, anywhere- for the wedding functions.”
The couple look resplendent and quite happy on their wedding day. It was hosted in Chandigarh, where Gaurav Kapur looked dashing in a cream and gold coloured sherwani with a matching turban. While his chirpy and lovely wife looked beautiful in a pink and gold lehenga.

This wonderful wedding ceremony was attended by very close friends of the couple. And these friends were very excited and elated for their best friend’s wedding.
Some of his close friends like cricketer Yuvraj Singh, actress Neha Dhupia, Roshan Abbas, Sandhya Mridul, Angad Bedi, VJ Maria Goretti and Mini Mathur, were part of this close knit wedding affair. Their happiness knew no bounds as they cheered on social media by blessing and congratulating this beautiful couple.

Neha Dhupia also tweeted after attending the ceremony, “Back home #Knackered... After attending the most special wedding ever @kiratbhattal @gauravkapur... Love u both!," And she could not stop herself from uploading some fun moments of the wedding.
While Yuvraj Singh was ecstatic on his friend’s wedding and updated some wonderful wedding selfies on his social media page. Surely everybody had a gala time in this wedding as can be seen from the lovely pictures.
