He is 29, she is 30. Both are extremely good looking and are at the pinnacle of their careers. The two readily enjoy a super-stardom, not only in India but abroad as well. Yes, we are talking about Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli and Sui Dhaaga actress, Anushka Sharma.
Virat and Anushka got married on December 11, 2017, in a secret wedding in Italy, and since then, their marital goals have always made everyone jealous and have set the bar rather high. Yesterday (September 23, 2018), Virat went on a lunch date together with his ‘great company’, and wifey, Anushka. And guess where? At Virat’s own restaurant, Nueva World in Delhi’s RK Puram area! The two were accompanied by Anushka's brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Sharing the following pics from their lunch, Virat captioned the pictures as, “Great lunch today at @nueva.world, food was outstanding and company couldn't have been better. Great place for food lovers like us. #Favourite #Nueva. PS- Don't miss the chimichuri mushrooms!”
For those who do not know, among his many business ventures, Virat’s restaurant Nueva World was opened in 2017. The entire team of Royal Challengers Bangalore was present during the inauguration. Located in RK Puram, this restaurant has already garnered a name for itself owing to its association with Virat.
Coming back to Virat and Anushka, the latter is all geared up for the release of her film, Sui Dhaaga. In one of the promotional sessions with Film Companion, Anushka had the sweetest words for Virat when she said, “I am married to the greatest man in the world”.
Not only that, she further spoke with the most heartfelt words any wifey could have for her hubby, “We are both very awkward with the fame that we have we don’t embrace stardom and fame and that’s why, I think, we connect so much. We run away, sometimes, from these things. Sometimes, we find a need to be in our own cocoon. And that’s the reason why we are so self-sufficient. And when I see self, I mean both of us because we don’t see each other as two different people. He and I are male and female versions of each other”. In a 2015 interview, Virat had spoken of Anushka as his ‘motivation’. He had said back then, “Anushka acts as a big motivation for me. She is one person in my life who keeps me very calm. There are very few people in my life that I can sit down and listen to. She is one of them. I listen to her calmly about everything she says. She makes me understand if I make a mistake, if I am doing something wrong. She gives me that calm feeling. She gives me that assurance. And I know she will always support me, no matter what. That's a big thing for me”.
And had further added, “So when I see her cheering for me at the ground, it obviously makes me feel special. It gives me more strength, makes me feel calmer, it's like an emotional support. Once you get that you don't need to think about anything else. Because once you are feeling the emotional support, you are feeling so confident that you can go out there and conquer. You know there is someone sitting out there to support you always. And Anushka is a very special part of my life. I love the fact that she comes and supports me when I play”.
And post their marriage last year, Virat has always reverently dedicated his cricketing milestones to Anushka. Every time he scores a century, he either thumps his bat in the air towards her, or kisses his wedding ring. After the Jan-Feb SA tour, Virat had said, “My wife has been keeping me motivated throughout, she deserves a lot of credit for this. She has been criticized a lot in the past, but she is one person who has kept me going throughout this tour and when times have been tough and I am really grateful for that”. In another interview, which Virat gave to The Wedding Filmer, he was quoted as saying, “She guides me even when her body is not with me. Her words are. Her strength is. That is love. That is when you’ll know”.
