Soccer player, Hector Bello, two days after the earthquake disaster, took to his Instagram handle to give a tribute to his wife. The post seemed to be in Spanish, where Hector spoke about his suffering and revealed it had ended when his wife, Andrea, had told him they were about to have a baby. He wrote that he would tell his daughter that her mom was a real hero. In his words:

"You'll always be our favourite hero, Mommy. I'm going to make sure our baby remembers how wonderful you were, how much you loved her. Today I have to suffer again, a suffering that had ended since the day you told me we were going to have a baby. I remember you called me after a month that you did not speak to me and told me, Hector, I'm pregnant."

Hector and Andrea's daughter, Alana, reportedly survived because Andrea had protected her during the disaster. Hector stated that his daughter will always be proud of her mother's sacrifice. Reportedly, Venezuela has had the deadliest earthquake in the current century. Hector, in his note, mentioned how their daughter got them together and wrote:

"The arrival of our daughter brought us back together and we spent infinite battles in silence only you and I but we always came forward. Andreaaa today you leave me with my beautiful princess alone with the heart echo pieces, trying to be strong, trying to hold me for our baby after everything you did for her. I can't let you down because I know that somewhere we will be taken care of and protecting as always mommy."

Earlier, a statement in Spanish related to Hector Bello losing his wife had read on the team regretting to inform fans that the partner of Cumanes footballer Hector Bello was found dead. She was found in the rubble after the earthquake that shook the country. The statement mentioned that Hector and Andrea's daughter survived the collapse of the building where the entire family lived. The entire state of Sucre and the entire football community stand by the footballer. A part of it read, "Stand with you in respect and solidarity, hoping you find peace in this time of sorrow.”

Hector's wife, Andrea, reportedly died at her home, which was destroyed due to the earthquake.
