Bollywood actor, Varun Dhawan made his acting debut with the film, Student of the Year, in 2012, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. Since then, the son of Indian director, David Dhawan and his wife, Karuna Dhawan, Varun has never looked back. He has been constantly proving his mettle in acting in one after the other hit films like Kalank, Coolie No. 1, Judwaa 2, October and many more. Currently, he is busy promoting his latest film, Bhediya, which will hit the theatres on November 25. 2022. And in one such promotional event, he disclosed being diagnosed with a rare condition that disturbs the entire body's balance system.
Even after a lot is known about Varun Dhawan's professional life, he likes to keep his personal life private. For the unversed, the actor is married to his childhood sweetheart, Natasha Dalal. Varun's ladylove is a fashion designer by profession, and the duo had tied the knot on January 24, 2021, in an intimate ceremony in Alibaug, Maharashtra.

In an interaction with the media during the India Today conclave in Mumbai, Varun Dhawan opened up about being diagnosed with a rare condition- vestibular hypofunction. Talking about the same, he admitted to putting huge pressure on himself before finally left with the option of taking a break. He shared that the disorder affects a person's balance, and he is dealing with it. Moreover, sharing that he is in the process of self-healing and said:
"It felt like I was running for an election. I don’t know why, but I put so much pressure on myself, and recently, I just shut down. I didn’t know what had happened to me. I had this thing called vestibular hypofunction, (where) basically your balance goes off. But I just pushed myself so hard. We are just running in this race, nobody is asking why. I think there is a greater purpose (why) we are all here. I am trying to find mine, and hopefully, people will find theirs."
Earlier, on October 13, 2022, Varun had taken to his Instagram handle and posted two pictures with his wife, Natasha from their second Karwa Chauth celebration. In the first picture, we could see the adorable duo posing with each other. Natasha looked gorgeous in a rani pink-coloured co-ord set. On the other hand, Varun donned a matching rani pink kurta. In the following picture, Varun was seen feeding mithai to Natasha as he opened her fast. Alongside it, he had written:
"Happy #karvachauth."

In one of the episodes of Koffee With Karan 7, Karan Johar had revealed that though Varun Dhawan is now married to his ladylove, Natasha Dalal, he was previously having an image of a ‘boy about town’. To this, Varun tried to divert the topic and said, “But I’m married now.” But Karan went on to ask Varun more about his life after marriage. To which, the actor had said:
“It’s been amazing. It’s the best thing that has happened to me in my life. She’s the balancing factor in my life, and she doesn’t even ask for much. She doesn’t demand much. She just wants my time. She’s amazing.”
For the unversed, vestibular hypofunction is a kind of condition where a person's vestibular, which sits on the inner ear, works with the muscles and eyes and keeps the entire body balanced. A problem in this system means the entire balance system will not be able to function properly.
