Vaibhavi Upadhyaya's untimely demise left shockwaves in the entire nation. She was just 32 and was holidaying with her fiance when the fatal accident happened. The couple was about to get married in the next year. However, the heartbreaking part about the unfortunate event was that Vaibhavi Upadhyaya's parents were not in India and were vacationing in Australia. Her brother shared the details of Vaibhavi's accident.
Recently, in an interview with ETimes, Vaibhavi Upadhyaya's brother, Ankit Upadhyaya talked about their parents' condition. He shared that at the time of the accident, their parents were on holiday in Australia. He immediately called his aunt, and no one told them about Vaibhavi's passing away. They rushed to India on the very first flight and only knew that Vaibhavi had an accident.

Ankit Upadhyaya further revealed that their parents only got to know about Vaibhavi's death when they reached Mumbai and were heading home. Ankit also revealed that it was his elder brother and her fiance, Jai's father, who helped them bring back Vaibhavi's mortal remains to Mumbai.
During the same interview, Ankit revealed that their parents are still in shock. Their mother is weak and still not able to believe it. On the other hand, their father is trying to put up a brave front. However, the entire family is in shock and has not been able to process it.
Ankit also shared that his elder sister, Vaibhavi was having an arranged marriage with Jai. They were planning to fix the wedding date as soon as the couple would come back from their trip. However, they were planning to get married by the end of the year or the next year.
A video of Vaibhavi Upadhyaya's parents was making rounds on the internet. The video is from after Vaibhavi's last rites. Her mother was not in her senses after bidding goodbye to her young daughter for whose wedding she had been preparing for the past so many months. On the other hand, her father looked inconsolable as he cried his heart out. The heartbreaking video captures the pain of the weeping parents.

Vaibhavi Upadhayaya and her fiance were together when the accident happened. Her parents were out of India when this happened. Vaibhavi and her fiance were travelling in a car when at a steep turn, the truck brushed it. And it was so severe that Vaibavi fell into a valley. According to a report in The Times Of India, the accident was so severe that the car was toppled consequently.
