Wedding in any house brings a lot of moments of laughter, fun, ceremonies, and memories. The elder ones are usually busy taking care of the arrangements, and the younger lot is mostly engaged in selecting the right outfit and accessories to make all the heads turn towards them in the wedding. But obviously, the most excited ones are the bride and the groom. And apart from being happy and excited, they are nervous too about the new beginning of their life. Well, if you too are one of those lucky ones having this kind of nervousness because you are about to get married soon, then we have something for you.
So, for all you soon-to-be married couples as well as the newlyweds, here are a few Vaastu tips to ensure that you enjoy every bit of married life.
Before starting off with the renovations and changes, make sure that you get the room which is in the south, south-west or west direction. This is the direction of love, romance and sex. Directions to be avoided totally are north, east and north-east.
Take a picture from your wedding album or just any other nice picture of you two in happy moments, and place it in your bedroom's eastern wall. It will always remind you of the kind of understanding you have shared in the past. Moreover, eastern wall is believed to be helpful in enhancing the positivity in your relationship.
Things like laptops, chargers, iPads, briefcases, files, books, etc., should be placed in a separate room. The first few days or months of any marriage require time from both the ends. And, any sort of interruption can be a mood spoiler!
You should position your bed in such a manner that your head is towards the south direction. Use colours like pink, blue, yellow and orange. Colours to be avoided are black, dark brown, grey and cream, as they tend to make the room look dull. Mirrors should not be placed in front of the bed as the rays continuously emerging from them can affect your health.
It should be kept in mind that there should not be any beam crossing over the bed of the couple. It is very inauspicious and has negative effects on the health too.
There are a lot of materials in which you get really luxurious and beautiful beds. But as newlyweds, you should only opt for a wooden bed. Wood is considered to emit warm energy while metals tend to emit cold energy. If possible, try and get a single mattress as it will help build a stronger bond between the two of you.
Try and keep fresh flowers in the room instead of the artificial ones, so as to avoid any kind of artificiality in your relationship. Not only will they add fragrance to your room, but will also do away with any sort of bad odour, hence making the atmosphere of the room pleasant.

A newlywed couple’s room is almost incomplete without fancy lamp shades. Not only do they accentuate the sensuousness of the environment, they also help in mood-making. Green and blue are the two shades, which are believed to help elevate ones mood. So, make sure to have them in your room!
In order to induce more passion and fire in your lovemaking experience, scented candles are a must for you. Not only do they add a natural fragrance to the room, they also add the fire element that is considered auspicious in almost every religion, and helps burn any kind of negativity.
At times, people put up pictures of Gods and goddesses in the newlywed couples’ rooms, believing it to be auspicious for their relationship. But, Vaastu suggests that it is actually the other way round. Religious pictures and images take us instantly into a different world of spirituality where sex has very little or almost no space! So, make sure you do not have them in your room for at least a few months after your wedding.
