15-Year-Old Unexpected Star Bella Vaughn Shares BF Was 12 When She Got Pregnant, 'It Was Consensual'

The teen pregnancy series, Unexpected, is back with season 7. The show follows the journey of teen couples who face an unexpected pregnancy. It showcases teenage pregnancies and the effect they have on teen parents and their families. The upcoming season 7 of the TLC series will feature 15-year-old Bella Vaughn, who got pregnant at the age of 14 by her 12-year-old boyfriend, Hunter.

Bella Vaughn reveals her boyfriend, Hunter, was 12 when they got pregnant

Ever since the news of Bella’s appearance in the show was announced, the controversial teen mom has been the subject of much online speculation and rumours. In a TikTok video, Bella addressed rumours and statements about her and her boyfriend, Hunter’s, relationship. Addressing several TikTok creators who have been reporting on her controversial pregnancy, Bella said:

“Just because I am a teen does not make me any less of a mother. I am a mother. I did have that baby. I did grow that baby for nine, almost 10 months. Hunter is a father! Just because he was 12 [when he got me pregnant], he turned 13 a few days later!

Going further in her conversation, Bella revealed that she was 14 when she conceived their son, Wes, and that Hunter was 12. In the same conversation, Bella cleared up speculation that their s**ual relationship was not consensual. Revealing how Hunter stayed by her throughout the pregnancy, Bella said:

“We’ve already talked to the cops about it. It was consensual. I did not ruin Hunter’s life. I gave, when I found that I was pregnant, I gave him the option. I said, ‘If you can’t do this or you don’t want to be here, that is fine. I understand we’re both very young, but I can do this on my own or with you. It’s your decision. Whatever you choose, I’m fine with.’ He chose to stay with me. He chose to take care of our baby.”

Bella Vaughn slammed haters for targeting her parents for glorifying teen pregnancy

Both Bella and her sister became pregnant during their teens, and plenty of things have been said about her and her family for glorifying ‘teen pregnancy’. In her video, Bella also revealed that it was not a parenting issue and shared that her parents never glorified teen pregnancy. Bella also pointed out that the show reveals how hard it is to be a teen parent.

In the same interaction, the teen mother praises her parents’ support, even though she knows what she did was wrong. Bella stated that she or her family never glorified it, but they stood as her pillar of strength when she had nowhere to go. In her words:

“I knew right from wrong. I knew I was doing wrong. It’s not a parenting issue. [My mom] did take care of me. I just messed up. If you don’t have a teen, you don’t understand.”
