UFC Mexico Payouts: Who Earned More Among Brandon Moreno, Lone'er Kavanagh And Others? Find Out

UFC fans are having the time of their lives right now. For those unaware, Arena CDMX is hosting UFC's eighth trip to Mexico City. As you can already guess, the stakes are at an all-time high for the February 28, 2026, matches. Initially, for the main event tonight, Asu Almabayyev was supposed to compete against former two-time flyweight champion, Brandon Moreno. However, after he withdrew from the fight, he was replaced by pro MMA fighter, Lone'er Kavanagh.

According to reports, Brandon is about to step into tonight's match with over 30 pro fights behind him. On the other hand, the match tonight is going to be Lone'er Kavanagh's first main event in the UFC, although he does have 9 professional wins to back him up and a loss to Charles Johnson in his previous outing. Whether they are fighting for redemption or leverage, one thing on everyone's mind is money. If you are curious about learning how much is on the table for tonight's fight, not only for the headliners but also for the other UFC Mexico fighters, keep on reading.

What will Brandon Moreno and Lone'er Kavanagh's payout be at UFC Mexico?

Brandon Moreno

If reports are believed to be true, throughout his career, Brandon Moreno has earned approximately USD 2.26 million from his UFC fights. For those unaware, Brandon Moreno's UFC career started almost a decade ago in 2016. Since then, he has overcome several hardships, from being cut to being returned to becoming a champion twice. All in all, Brandon's recorded fight earnings showcase his tremendous persistence.

Brandon Moreno

It is worth noting that Brandon Moreno's biggest payday came during his fight at UFC 283 on January 22, 2023. After defeating Deivenson Figueiredo and reclaiming the flyweight title, Brandon reportedly walked away with a whopping USD 1 million. Some reports claim he might have earned even more than that, which is why Brandon is still considered one of the most bankable Mexican stars in the UFC.

Brandon Moreno

While Brandon does not have an immediate title shot on the line, it is pretty clear how much his earning power is. To mention, if we add potential bonuses into the mix, Brandon's take-home could climb even more than it normally is. This is especially true, given UFC's recently doubled USD 100,000 Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night awards.

Lone'er Kavanagh

Now, coming to Brandon Moreno's opponent for tonight's match, Lone'er Kavanagh, his UFC earnings to date seem to be around USD 90,000. It is important to keep in mind that this number is the result of his early run in the promotion. As we previously mentioned, Lone'er's fight against Brandon tonight will be his first UFC main event, which is on pretty short notice. However, if we consider his participation today from a financial perspective, there is no doubt that this is a leap. For those unaware, most of the time, a main event status is equal to improved base pay and visibility. If Lone'er can put on a strong show tonight, it will likely improve his negotiating power for future contracts.

What are the payouts of Marlon Vera, King Green, and other UFC Mexico fighters?

Marlon Vera

In his UFC career, Marlon Vera has reportedly pocketed over USD 1.9 million in Octagon fight purses. According to Essentially Sports, the estimates for Marlon's more recent fights range from USD 185,000 to USD 250,000 per bout. If we take the example of his fight against Aiemann Zahabi at UFC Vancouver, many reports online suggested that his payout was within the above mentioned range. Even during Marlon's fight with Deiveson Figuerdo in Abu Dhabi, he reportedly earned USD 100,000.

King Green

Coming to King Green, his estimated earnings at UFC 313 were a whopping USD 171,000. He has been in the UFC for a long time and has had over 40 professional fights. This is one of the main reasons why his payouts reflect veteran status. Based on online reports, King Green continues to maintain his position in the mid-to-upper tier earning bracket despite not headlining many pay-per-view matches.

David Martinez

Meanwhile, David Martínez has reportedly earned nearly USD 74,000 from his prior UFC Mexico debut. It is worth noting that he also received a USD 50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Since David is a bantamweight prospect, his payouts in future might undergo some changes.

Daniel Zellhuber

At UFC 318, Daniel Zellhuber reportedly earned USD 43,000. On the other hand, Édgar Cháirez had taken home USD 4,500 during the 2025 UFC Mexico card in promotional guidelines pay. This reflects media days, interviews, fight-week obligations, and more. Édgar also pocketed an additional USD 50,000 at the time in a performance bonus after he submitted CJ Vergara.
