We are talking about One Tree Hill star Tyler Hilton, who confirmed that he and his wife, actress Megan Park, have decided to separate after spending a decade together. Tyler himself shared the news in a heartfelt social media post, ending weeks of speculation about his marital life. He has clarified that the decision was made some time ago, and they would continue to co-parent their kids. Amid the shocking news, let us know about the cause of their split and who Megan Park is.

Tyler Hilton confirms his separation after weeks of online speculation

Tyler Hilton took to Instagram on January 16, 2026, to share a rare personal update. He acknowledged that he had never been willing to share personal information about his family life. Still, after seeing a lot of buzz about his marital life, he confirmed that he and his wife, Megan, had decided to end their marriage some time ago. In his words: 

"I've never been super comfortable sharing personal information about our family life, but I've seen enough speculation online that I thought warranted clarity," he wrote. "Some time ago, Megan and I decided to end our marriage."

The 42-year-old did not reveal when they had officially separated or what led to the split. However, he emphasised that their two children would be their top-most priority amid the new shift. Alongside, Tyler sought privacy for his family during this new phase. For those unaware, the former couple share two children, a daughter, Winnie, born in February 2020, and a son, Benny, born in 2024. On the other hand, Megan Park has yet not make any public statement about the separation.  

Meanwhile, sources close to the couple claim that the separation was amicable and centered around maintaining stability for their children. In fact, the couple had recently collaborated professionally on Megan Park's 2024 film, My Old Ass. Moreover, they had celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in October 2025, just months before announcing their split.

Who is Megan Park? 

Megan Park is a Canadian actress, singer, and filmmaker. She had been a child actor before she rose to fame as 'Grace Bowman' on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Eventually, Megan played adult roles in films such as Charlie Bartlett, What If, and Central Intelligence. Over the last few years, she has built an impressive career, beginning with her 2021 directorial debut, The Fallout, which received critical acclaim. She later directed and developed the musical score for her 2024 coming-of-age film, My Old Ass. At the same time, she was named a "Director to Watch" by the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Previously, Megan was also a member of the indie band, Frank and Derol.

Tyler Hilton and Megan Park had a typical movie-style love story 

Tyler Hilton and Megan Park's relationship began nearly two decades ago. They first met in 2007 while filming the indie comedy, Charlie Bartlett in Toronto. Soon, their strong on-screen chemistry made producers reportedly rewrite the script to ensure their characters would fall in love. 

After filming began, they went on their first date and dated for 7 years before Tyler popped the question in December 2013, using his great-grandmother's vintage silver ring. Eventually, they tied the knot on October 10, 2015, in an intimate ceremony at Triunfo Creek Vineyards in Malibu with food trucks, a bluegrass band, and ping-pong tables. Since then, they welcomed two kids and worked together on several creative projects before they marked the end of their bond, nearly 20 years after they first met.
