Twisha Sharma's Sister-In-Law Reveals Her Final Words, Slams Her MIL's Schizophrenia Claims

The death of 31-year-old Indian woman, Twisha Sharma has currently gained nationwide attention. She was a Noida-based professional and former model, found dead on May 12, 2026, in her marital home in Bhopal's Katara Hills. Her death, which was initially suspected as suicide, has triggered intense reactions. Twisha's family contested the suicide claims and alleged severe dowry harassment and murder. Now, the case has taken a new turn with her sister-in-law sharing Twisha's final words and making explosive allegations against her in-laws.

Twisha Sharma's sister-in-law shared her painful final words

In a recent conversation with Times Now, Twisha Sharma's sister-in-law, Rashi Sharma, said, "Twisha regularly mentioned harassment by [her husband] Samarth Singh." Recalling Twisha's final conversation with her family, Rashi mentioned her sister-in-law was "stressed and upset" because of Samarth's behaviour. As per her, in her final days, Twisha kept on insisting to go back to he own home, resume her career and start afresh; however, none of that happened, and she ultimately passed away from a suspected suicide. Mourning her untimely demise, Rashi stated:

"We want to grieve. We want to cremate her the way it should be done. Twisha was stressed and upset because of the actions of Samarth Singh. In her last conversation with us during a conference call, she said, 'I want to come back home. I want to do my job and leave this shit behind.'"

Rashi Sharma slams Twisha Sharma's mother-in-law for alleging Twisha had schizophrenia

Rashi Sharma strongly slammed Twisha Sharma's mother-in-law, retired judge, Giribala Singh, for making defamatory remarks against the deceased. After Twisha's death, Giribala held a press conference labelling her as "schizophrenic" with a "troubled personality" who allegedly required constant psychiatric monitoring. She also accused Twisha of heavy marijuana consumption and experiencing drug withdrawal symptoms. She further alleged that Twisha became unstable upon learning of her pregnancy and unilaterally decided on an abortion.

Giribala also claimed that Twisha's parents forced her to join the entertainment industry for financial gain and later cut ties with her, leading to her mental health deterioration. She basically washed her hands of all allegations of illtreatment towards her daughter-in-law. Rashi Sharma stated that the claims by Giribala were absolutely defamatory and showed that the Singhs were not affected by Twisha's death. Rashi felt that Giribala's public statement hints that she might have treated Twisha even worse when the latter was alive. She told Times Now:

"While our family is grieving here, the prime accused's mother is going from one channel to another, leaving no stone unturned to defame the deceased. If she is behaving like this now, one can imagine how she was before."

Twisha Sharma's father alleged she was abused by her husband

Twisha Sharma's father, Navnidhi Sharma spoke to NDTV about his deceased daughter's husband, Samarth Singh and in-laws. He revealed that Samarth, at times, physically abused her. Navnidhi stated that early on in the marriage, his son-in-law displayed a "criminal mindset" when he became angry and pushed Twisha at the airport on the way to their honeymoon. Twisha's father further alleged that the Singh family's first daughter-in-law also divorced due to extreme harassment.

Twisha Sharma, a 33-year-old former Miss Pune contestant and Noida resident, was found dead on May 12, 2026, in her matrimonial home in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal. The tragic incident took place just five months after her marriage. A preliminary post-mortem report from AIIMS Bhopal indicated that she died of hanging. However, her family alleges murder as her final messages to her mother indicated unbearable mental torture by her in-laws. Police filed an FIR for dowry harassment and abetment of suicide against the Singhs, following which Samarth has been on the run.
