Twisha Sharma's Pregnancy Termination To Be Probed, Husband Samarth Said They Used Birth Control

The tragic untimely death of model and actress, Twisha Sharma has created an uproar in the media. The 33-year-old Noida-based woman was found deceased on May 12, 2026, in her marital home in Bhopal. Though the reason for her death was reported as suicide, but Twisha’s family cited foul play. People close to Twisha shared that she would have never taken her life and since then, the case is under investigation.

Twisha Sharma’s pregnancy termination will be investigated

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will soon summon several medical professionals linked to the case. Earlier, Twisha’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh alleged that Twisha was an addict who used to consume drugs and this was one of the major reasons that doctors approved for a Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) procedure.

However, after Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh was taken into custody, Twisha’s pregnancy has once again become a massive point of contention. While questioning Samarth, he expressed doubts about Twisha being pregnant at all as he told investigators that the couple had consistently used birth control. Amid the conflicting statements, the CBI will now probe Twisha’s clinic visits, medical consultations, and pharmacy records to know whether the pregnancy was actually confirmed by a doctor.

Twisha Sharma's father raised doubts on the paternity of the unborn child

As per the investigation, Twisha was found hanging in her home, but her parents have called it a murder. Amid this entire case hitting the headlines, Twisha's last messages to her mom surfaced. In the chats to her mother, Twisha indicated a pregnancy, a subsequent abortion and references to Samarth Singh questioning the paternity of the child.

The CBI also pointed out a WhatsApp chat that claimed Giribala and Samarth questioned her character after learning about her pregnancy. In fact, Twisha was even forced to undergo an abortion, and they accused her that the unborn child belonged to someone else.

Twisha Sharma's cousin blamed Samarth Singh's 'repulsive behaviour' for her abortion

In a May 2026 chat with Barkha Dutt's Mojo Story, Twisha Sharma's cousin made some bold remarks about Samarth Singh and his family. The cousin claimed that her in-laws pressured her to get pregnant. Even when Twisha visited the hospital (the reason for her visit unclear), she quoted her in-laws and told her family that they had asked her to return to Bhopal as soon as possible. They called her back because, according to them, spending time with her husband and getting pregnant was more important.

Twisha Sharma's cousin further recounted what happened when Twisha returned to her in-laws' house and learned she was expecting. According to the cousin, the moment Twisha returned, she was shocked at Samarth Singh's changed behaviour. He was "repulsive" towards her due to the effect of his drug abuse and other issues. That was the alleged reason for Twisha deciding to opt for an abortion. Elaborating on the same, Twisha’s cousin said:

“The moment Twisha came back and she saw the repulsive behaviour of her husband after drug abuse and all of that she clearly decided that this child should not come into the world and she didn't want to inflict the same trauma on her child and this is something I've been quoting in every media house, 'My sister took a very very calculative decision to terminate this pregnancy and this hurt the ego of the matriarch of the family."
