Twisha Sharma's death case is taking a new turn with each passing day. Amid that, the 33-year-old, who was found dead on May 12, 2026, in her marital home in Bhopal, has been generating noise even after weeks of her passing. The reason is the late actress's family's allegations that severe dowry harassment, physical and mental torment by Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, pushed her to kill herself. As the probe is underway, let's take a quick look at all the updates from the past 24 hours.
Retired judge, Giribala Singh and her son, Samarth Singh, were sent to judicial custody for 14 days following their release from CBI in the ongoing Twisha Sharma death case in Bhopal. The mother and son duo spent their first night in Bhopal Central Jail after they were brought to the prison on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, evening, where special arrangements were made considering their age and health.

However, after arriving at the jail, Twisha's mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, was kept in a hospital-like emergency room set up in the women's ward. According to reports, the room comprises three beds, one of which was given to her. Meanwhile, her son, Samarth Singh, was admitted to the hospital in Block (B) of the jail.

According to recent reports and comments from Twisha Sharma's husband, Samarth Singh's lawyer, Enosh George Callo, his client was hospitalised after sustaining a leg injury. He stated that Samarth injured his leg during his last court appearance on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, and that he needed medical attention. Enosh revealed that the doctors need to conduct an X-ray, which is why he is currently in the hospital. Meanwhile, Giribala Singh has been granted accommodation in the hospital ward due to her advanced age and security needs.

According to the prison administration, both Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh were provided with the same food as other prisoners, and are not being given any different treatment. On their first morning in prison, they were given breakfast consisting of snacks, porridge, and tea. A source has even revealed that upon entering the prison, the late actress's mother-in-law, Giribala, had requested to be transported by car within the premises. However, the prison administration refused the request, and they were escorted inside on foot under the supervision of female security personnel.

While the security around Giribala Singh has been more prominent given her history as a judge, her treatment in prison is no different. Both Giribala and Samarth Singh were given normal food like other prisoners on the first night in Bhopal Central Jail. Both were served roti and kadhi-pakoras at 6 PM. According to jail sources, they did not request a special diet either. However, Giribala did refuse to eat chana dal. As per the routine fixed for all the prisoners in the jail, tea is served at 6 AM, breakfast at 7 AM, lunch between 11 AM and 12 PM, tea at 3 PM and dinner at 6 PM.

On the other hand, Twisha Sharma's family had made a request for the second postmortem report, which the court has also ruled on. The family had filed an application requesting a copy of the report. However, the court rejected it. During the hearing, the CBI informed the court that the investigation was still ongoing and that the postmortem report could not be provided to the family until it was complete. The court agreed with the CBI's argument.
