Twisha Sharma Death Case, Forensic Experts Collect Crucial Evidence Ahead Of Supreme Court Hearing

Twisha Sharma, the former actress and model, reportedly died by suicide on May 12, 2026. Both Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh and his mom, Giribala Singh, were booked in connection with Twisha’s alleged dowry death. On May 24, 2026, Twisha’s last rites were performed in Bhopal after 12 days of her demise. According to the latest reports, a second post-mortem examination was done on Twisha’s body and was handed over to her family. Ahead of the Supreme Court hearing, a team of forensic experts have gathered crucial evidence.

Forensic experts reach Twisha Sharma's matrimonial house to collect evidence

According to an India.com report, a team of forensic experts from AIIMS Delhi proceeded directly to former Miss Pune, Twisha Sharma’s matrimonial house after conducting the second autopsy on her body. The experts meticulously examined the room in which Twisha was found hanging and gathered crucial evidence. In addition, the forensic experts questioned Twisha’s husband, Samarth and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh. The team is set to submit its detailed report in a sealed envelope.

Meanwhile, the SIT in charge and legal counsel have departed for Delhi for the SC hearing scheduled on May 25, 2026. The Supreme Court has taken up a suo motu cognisance of the Twisha death case. A hearing regarding this matter is scheduled to take place in Delhi on May 25, 2026. Rajneesh Kashyap, the in-charge of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe the case, has departed for Delhi. The legal counsel representing Twisha’s family has also left for Delhi. The matter is scheduled to be heard before the Bench headed by Chief Justice of India, Surya Kant.

MP High Court to hear bail plea of Twisha Sharma's mother-in-law

The Twisha Sharma death case has another significant update. The former actress and model’s family members have filed a petition in the MP High Court challenging the bail granted to Twisha’s mother-in-law, Giribala Singh by the District Court. Giribala was granted anticipatory bail within hours after the FIR was registered. Twisha’s family has filed a petition in the MP High Court to cancel Giribala’s bail. This matter is also scheduled for May 25, 2026.

On May 23, 2026, advocate, Shubhank Dixit, who is part of Twisha’s father’s legal team, made some shocking claims related to the case. He shared that Twisha’s husband, Samarth and her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, have close contacts with powerful and influential figures in the administration, police and judiciary of MP. Thus, it needs to be probed who all helped Samarth to stay underground for 7 to 10 days. For the uninitiated, Samarth went missing soon after Twisha’s death. He surrendered at the Jabalpur District Court on May 22, 2026. Shubhank was quoted as saying:

"Samarth and his ex-judge mother have close contacts with powerful and influential people in the administration, police and judiciary of MP. This has been revealed by the duo’s CDR submitted by their legal team before the local court recently. In such a case, it needs to be probed who all helped Samarth to be in hiding for 7-10 days. It’s essential to find all those individuals and act particularly against those who are found to be government staffers/officials. While being in hiding, it’s possible that Samarth might have destroyed critical evidence of the crime."
