Former Bollywood actress and now author, Twinkle Khanna has been winning hearts with her witty confessions, her no-filter opinions, and her bestseller novels. However, Twinkle Khanna's journey from being a Bollywood actress to an extraordinary writer was not easy. She had accepted that she was bad at acting and after her film, Mela flopped, she had decided to quit acting and get married to Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar.
Twinkle is a fantastic homemaker and a super mom and knows how to balance her work and family life. But after she had tied the knot with Akshay on January 17, 2001, many had questioned her for not changing her maiden name to 'Kumar'. And the actress also didn't pay any heed to all the murmurs. Recently, she gave a hilarious reply to everyone, who had questioned her for not changing her name.

On May 4, 2022, Twinkle took to her Instagram handle and posted a hilarious meme on her IG story. The meme was about why a girl didn't change her maiden name after marriage. Atop it, Twinkle also shared her opinion and gave a hilarious example. She wrote:
"People ask me the same thing. My reason I am not a small company that a big firm like Godrej has taken over and now I have to change my brand name as well."
For those who don't know, Twinkle and Akshay had met during a shoot for the Filmfare magazine, in Mumbai, where Akshay had developed an instant crush on Twinkle. In one of his interviews with the Filmfare, the actor had confessed the same and had said:
"I met Twinkle for the first time during a photo session with Jayesh Seth for Filmfare. I still have that photograph. Thank you, Filmfare!” However, it was actually during the shooting of their film, International Khiladi, when the two had fallen for each other, and the rest is history."

For those who don't know, Twinkle Khanna's late father, Rajesh Khanna was in awe of his damad, Akshay Kumar. In an interview with ETimes, Rajesh Khanna's close friend, Bhupesh Raseen had revealed that he had loved his son-in-law, Akshay Kumar a lot. He had said:
"He was very fond of Akshay Kumar (son-in-law). It was Twinkle's idea to troop off to Goa for his birthday; I was with the entire family and when we were returning he sensed that it was his last birthday and told me 'Ab final ho gaya lekin jaldi ho raha hai' ('I am going but rather early')."
Well, we all will agree to Twinkle's opinion on changing your maiden name post-marriage!
