Twinkle Khanna is a talented gem in the film industry. She is exceptionally skilled as an actor, as well as an author, columnist, interior designer, as well as a film producer. Daughter of veteran actors, late Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, Twinkle made her short stint in acting when her first film, Barsaat in 1995. On July 26, 2023, she shared a bunch of vintage photos that featured her mother and talented actress, Dimple Kapadia. The first two pictures dated back to Twinkle’s childhood, when she would often accompany her mother on her film shoots. And in both of them, the baby Twinkle Khanna had the same stern facial expression as if she pretended to guard her mother.

The third picture featured a much-grown up Twinkle along with Dimple Kapadia as they sat beside each other and brightly shared a smile. In comparison with the earlier pictures, the third one indeed proved how time passed by and the once tiny baby girl, Twinkle Khanna no longer made stern and grumpy faces at the camera, as if protecting her mother. Expressing the same sentiments, Twinkle penned a sweet caption and revealed that back in the days, she could easily pass off as her mother’s security bouncer if she was just given a suit. In her words:
“All I need is a little suit and I could easily pass off as her bouncer. Forty years later, I am still her bodyguard. i got the suit and I have also learned to disguise the aggressiveness behind a smile. What role do you play in your mother's life?”
Dimple Kapadia has been a talented actress in the Hindi film industry. She was a much-loved diva in the 70s and 80s decade, and even today, her charisma in films is totally unmissable. However, there was a time when she had taken a hiatus in her acting career, and was planning on quitting it as well, until her daughter, Twinkle forced her out of it. Speaking about the same in one of her previous interviews with the Hindustan Times, Dimple revealed how her daughter pushed her into resuming work by bluntly asserting that if she needed money, then she must leave her vanity back at home.
In a previous interaction with Kareena Kapoor Khan on her chat show, What Women Want, Twinkle Khanna had once spoken about how it was the dire necessity for financial stability that she ended up stepping into the film world. She also revealed that she had to support her mother, Dimple Kapadia financially, since she was a single mom. In her words:
“I really didn't want to become an actress. It was out of necessity, I had a single mom and she was providing for everyone."

Apart from being a prolific personality in her professional career, Twinkle is a doting wife to Akshay Kumar. The duo are not a PDA couple, nevertheless, their chemistry and strong bonding shed couple goals all the time. On January 17, 2023, Twinkle and Akshay celebrated their 22nd anniversary and to mark the day, the former had shared a special video featuring the couple walking arm-in-arm together. While she deleted the post later, however, it was her unmissable caption to it which did not go unnoticed. Well, Twinkle revealed how she had straight up refused to marry Akshay Kumar right on their fifth date together. She had written:
“Only he could have found the perfect card! On our fifth date, I told him, 'I would never marry someone like you.' He instantly replied,' I don't remember asking you.' I was so impressed with that line."
