Famous television actor and one of the most eligible bachelors from showbiz, Karan Patel, will be marrying Ankita Bhargava, this year in May. Last seen in the TV show, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan, Ankita is daughter of Abhay Bhargava, who coincidentally plays the role of Karan’s father-in-law in the popular show, Ye Hai Mohabbatein. But, this story is not as simple as it appears, and has quite a few twists and turns.

Just before this relationship, Karan was dating the actress, Kamya Punjabi. In fact, the news of their breakup came as a shock for all their fans.
It is believed that it was Karan’s parents, who were not happy with the idea of their son marrying someone with a broken marriage and a kid. So, he simply obeyed his parents and walked out of this relationship.

Well, there is another side to this story too that we have just found out. Talking to the Times of India, a close friend of the couple has revealed that it was Karan’s infidelity and Casanova nature that led to the break up. The source has been quoted saying, "Kamya caught him (Karan) cheating on her on several occasions during their year-long relationship, but Karan would come back each time promising to mend his ways. She finally called off the relationship after she caught him cheating again."

It was just within a matter of three days when Karan was spotted with Ankita Bhargava at a Holi party. And, at that party Karan introduced her as his “would-be”. When this news reached Kamya’s ears she was for sure distraught. Here is what the friend further revealed, “Kamya obviously is distraught that he has moved on so soon.”

Yes, it seems Karan not only made a move out of this relationship, but he also managed to get into another one as well, quite easily. As soon as the news of Karan’s breakup with Kamya started doing rounds, his plans of marrying Ankita were also made known to his fans.
In fact, Karan confirmed the news by giving this statement to a leading daily:
“Yes, Ankita and I are getting married and this is a new chapter in my life. I am looking forward to it without a doubt, can't wait, she is a beautiful girl, a friend more than that my ‘would be’ wife.”

Whenever two lovebirds decide to take their relationship to the next level, they are always pampered by the good wishes of their loved ones. But, for Karan and Ankita, the story seems to be a bit different. A lot of fans, who are unhappy with Karan and Kamya’s breakup, are blaming Ankita for the same. Some of them even went on to the extent of calling her the “other woman”.
Well, it is certainly not an easy thing to face, but Ankita came up with a clarification as she gave this statement:
“It’s not like I entered Karan’s life and he decided to break up with Kamya. They parted ways in December last year, after which Karan was looking to settle down and so was I. Our families met in January. Karan and I interacted quite a few times and we just connected instantly and thought we should marry each other.”

While Karan has already confirmed that he will be marrying Ankita soon, his lady love gave further details to the leading daily, Bombay Times. The actress said:
“We will be having a roka ceremony this Saturday. The wedding will take place on May 3, 2015. It will be a destination wedding. We are not disclosing the destination name right now but we will have a big reception party in Mumbai once we are back."
