Trishala Dutt Shares Unseen Picture Of Her Parents, Sanjay Dutt And Richa Sharma And It's Priceless

Born in July 1959 to veteran actors, Sunil Dutt and Nargis, Sanjay Balraj Dutt made his acting debut in 1981 with the film, Rocky. Ever since the release of the film, Sanjay was in the news for one thing and another, be it the professional front, his link-up rumours with actresses, possession of illegal weapons, drugs addiction or his jail term. While the Dutt fans had gotten a glimpse of his real-life and his side of the story to the much-talked-about topics about him in Ranbir Kapoor starrer film, Sanju, some of his relationships and pivotal moments were remained untouched in the film. Sanjay’s first marriage with Richa Sharma and their daughter, Trishala Dutt had no mention in the film.

Back in 1981 when Nargis had lost her battle with cancer, the Dutt family, especially Sanjay Dutt, couldn’t cope with the tragic loss of their lives. Just before his debut, his mother passed away and this had a lasting impression on Sanjay, which resulted in his addiction to drugs. When Sanjay was rehabilitating himself from drug addiction in the US, he found his first love, Richa Sharma. Sanjay and Richa had tied the knot in 1987 but fate had different plans for the couple. After being diagnosed with brain tumour, Richa passed away in 1996, leaving her daughter, Trishala Dutt in the care of her parents in New York.

Trishala Dutt is raised by her maternal grandparents in the US and shares a beautiful relationship with her father, Sanjay Dutt and his family, Maanayata Dutt, Shahraan Dutt and Iqra Dutt. Trishala is a psychotherapist by profession and she often interacts with her followers on social media through ‘Ask Me Anything’ sessions. In one such session held on March 16, 2021, Trishala was asked to share an unseen picture of her parents, Sanjay and Richa Sharma, which she hasn’t posted before. Trishala posted a loved-up picture of her parents, in which Sanjay had posed with his arm around Richa and she was all smiles for the camera.

In the same ‘Ask Me Anything’ session, Trishala Dutt was asked if she is single. To which, she replied, “Yes”. Another follower asked her if she would have pursued acting like her star family. To which, Trishala retorted, “No. I would have been in the FBI. I can still get into it if I want which is why I’m currently doing forensic psychology at the moment. A large part of what a criminal psychologist does is study why people commit crimes. They may also assess criminals in order to evaluate the risk of recidivism which means (how likely the person is to re-offend in the future) or make educated guesses about the actions that a criminal may have taken after committing a crime. Criminal psychologists work closely with police and federal agents to help solve crimes, often by developing profiles of murderers, rapists, and other violent criminals. However, if I choose to continue with what I’m doing right now, I will be opening up my own practice one day. I like having options.”

Trishala Dutt was also asked to reveal the details of her beau, who passed away in 2019. She lost her calm and gave a perfect reply to her follower, who asked her how her beau passed away. Trishala said, “I apologise in advance if my response comes off as cold. I’m not mad or offended by your question but I definitely want to educate people about basic social 101 skills. I appreciate your question. I do. And let’s all be honest about basic human behaviour and curiosity – it’s natural to want to know how someone passed away, even if it’s “none of your business”, right? However, if you’re curious about how someone passed away, but you’re not close enough to already know, then asking is prying. The most inappropriate reaction is inquiring about the cause of death. I want you to ask yourself this question – “What is the purpose of me doing/asking this? Will knowing the answer will allow me to help this person? Or is it just morbid curiosity?” Grief 101 lesson – If you are not entitled to know the specifics of the passing, stop asking. Asking for those details does nothing for the conversation. It does not console the person, nor bring the person who passed away.”

In a throwback ‘Ask Me Anything’ session, when Trishala Dutt was asked, “How is it living without your parents?” she had retorted, “It’s fine, I guess. I never lived with them to begin with (I did but I was so young I don’t remember much) so I can’t really answer how it feels living without them.” When another user asked her “How do you feel being Sanjay Dutt’s daughter?” Trishala candidly answered, “Honestly, it feels normal. He's like any other father. When I'm with him, it feels like I'm with my dad. It doesn't feel any different than what you probably feel when you are with your father.”
