Triptii Dimri emerged as one of the best actresses in today’s time. Ever since her actorial stint in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film, Animal, her popularity has increased by manifolds. The 29-year-old has previously worked on critically acclaimed films such as Laila Majnu, Bulbul, and Qala. However, her on-screen chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor in their recent release has blown people’s minds off so much so that she has been tagged the new ‘national crush of India’ by millions of her fans. She is now often referred to as ‘Bhabhi No. 2' as well. As a consequence of Animal's success, Triptii’s social media following has also increased since the film was released in December 2023.
In an interview with News 18, the actress, Triptii Dimri opened up about her role in the film, Animal. She revealed that she never thought such a small part in the film as ‘Zoya’ would lead her to get so much love from the audience. Triptii further recalled that she was pretty anxious the day when Animal was released on the silver screens. She said:
"I was very nervous on the first day. I knew the film would do well, but I wasn't expecting this kind of a response for Zoya. I thought, ‘It's a small role, and it will come and go.' But I wasn't expecting to receive so much love or even be noticed. I haven't been able to sleep."

In the same interview, Triptii Dimri also spoke about the intimate scenes with Ranbir Kapoor. She lauded the 41-year-old actor for his professionalism and for being extremely supportive, especially during the shoot of such intimate scenes. Triptii further disclosed that the director of Animal, Sandeep Vanga Reddy even had told her to inform him if she felt uncomfortable at any point. Triptii said:
“It really helps when you have a co-actor you can count on so much. You’ve to be comfortable performing those scenes. Sandeep sir, Ranbir and the DOP told me, ‘Every time you’re uncomfortable, you just have to let us know, and we’ll make sure that that you don’t’. It’s really important that you’re in an environment where people respect you as a person, your choices and what you’re doing at that particular moment and make it only about that and not anything else.”

Triptii Dimri's recent performance in the film, Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor has gained a lot of attention from the audience, especially due to the bold scenes portrayed by the actress. The film has collected close to Rs. 888 crores, since its release on December 1, 2023. As per a report by Lifestyle Asia, Triptii has charged Rs. 40 lakhs for her role in Animal. Along with the film's success as a whole, it is also a personal success for Triptii.
Triptii’s role also led her to top the list of ‘Popular Indian Celebrities’. Recently, this list was released by IMDb, which is an online database for films, television and celebrity content. While Triptii topped the list, the director of Animal, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, came second. Other celebrities on the list included Saurabh Sachdeva, Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Kanan Gill, Saloni Batra, Rajkumar Hirani and Zoya Akhtar. According to the IMDb rankings, Triptii Dimri became the most popular Indian celebrity for the week. The 29-year-old actress will reportedly be next seen in Aashiqui 3 along with Kartik Aaryan. However, nothing is confirmed yet.
