Ranbir Kapoor's movie, Animal has been dominating all the headlines since the time it hit the silver screen. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial grossed Rs. 563 crores globally on the 8th day of its release, which undoubtedly made it one of the blockbusters of the year. In the movie, Ranbir is seen as the lead role, who can cross any level to protect his loved ones. However, Rashmika Mandanna played the female lead and on-screen wife of Ranbir in the movie. Everyone knows that Rashmika is hailed as the 'National Crush'. However, after Animal was launched, the nation went gaga over another actress in the film, whom everyone tagged as 'New National Crush', and she is none other than Tripti Dimri, i.e., 'Zoya' or 'Bhabhi no. 2' from Animal.
In the movie, Animal, 'Zoya' (Tripti) played a role as an ally to the foes of the protagonist 'Vijay', i.e., Ranbir Kapoor. However, later, 'Zoya' and 'Vijay' got close to each other, which was a part of 'Vijay's plans. At that time, 'Vijay' was already married to 'Geetanjali', aka Rashmika, and they had two kids. However, the sequel of Animal will bring a lot of twists along with 'Zoya' being pregnant with 'Vijay's kid, and a hint of the same was provided in the movie. However, we are hoping 'Zoya' and 'Geetanjali' to come face to face in Animal Park. Amid this excitement, Tripti opened up about her equation with Rashmika.
In a conversation with Puja Talwar, Tripti Dimri talked about her working experience with Rashmika Mandanna on the Animal set. Tripti said that Rashmika is one of the sweetest people she has ever met. She also added that Rashmika made her feel welcome when she was a bit awkward. Tripti also added that Rashmika is a brilliant actress. Talking more about her equation with Rashmika, Tripti stated that when there are two heroines in a movie, there remains a bit of energy, but in her and Rashmika's case, the latter even welcomed her with a warm hug. Elaborating more on the same, Tripti stated:
"She is the sweetest, sweetest person on set. She made me feel welcomed and there was no awkwardness. Usually, when there are two heroines in the film, there is always that energy… There was nothing, she was just so brilliant. She came to me and she gave me a hug and she was like come sit with us. She could also see that I was awkward a little (laughs), but she just made me feel welcomed. I think that is such a beautiful quality to have.”
Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Tripti Dimri talked about the criticism that she faced for the intimate scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. The actress said those scenes were easier than her role in her first movie, Bulbul. She also said that she did nothing wrong as people around the actress made her feel comfortable. The diva also added that while the scenes were being shot, Ranbir and Vanga kept checking on the actress, and only four people were there. Tripti also said she felt comfortable giving her shots, which brought the desired results. She also slammed shut all the mean comments and mentioned that people who don't have any idea about how these scenes are shot on set, their imagination can take them to another level.
Yet, in another interview with India Today, Tripti Dimri shared that when she was signing the film, Vanga told her that he wanted to create a Beauty and Beast king of image, so the diva had to make it look aesthetically striking. Sharing how she understood the importance of the scenes in the film, Tripti added:
"While signing the project, Sandeep told me that there’s a scene and I want to shoot it this way, but I will make it look aesthetically amazing. I want to create a Beauty and the Beast kind of image. And this is what I have. I leave it up to you, whether you’re comfortable or not comfortable, you let me know, we’ll work around it is what he told me… So, when I saw the references, I was like ‘Wow, it’s an important moment between the two characters. That made me comfortable."
