Travis Scott Shades Ex, Kylie Jenner's BF, Timothee Chalamet Post Oscars 2026 Loss, 'Bro Needs To..'

Timothée Chalamet has been the talk of the town for quite some time now, as he was one of the strongest contenders for the Best Actor award at the Oscars 2026. For those unaware, his performance in the movie, Marty Supreme, has been widely recognised by both critics and fans. Despite this, Timothée walked away empty-handed at the end of the night, losing to Michael B. Jordan for his dual role in the supernatural drama, Sinners. Well, to rub salt in the wound, Kylie Jenner's ex-boyfriend, Travis Scott, posted one of Michael's emotional acceptance speech moments to his Instagram Stories, with fans believing that the rapper was being shady towards Timothée.

Michael B. Jordan achieved a milestone in his career at the 2026 Oscars ceremony, after winning the Best Actor award for his role in Ryan Coogler's film, Sinners. In the supernatural film, Michael plays the dual role of twin brothers, ‘Elijah “Smoke” Moore' and 'Elias “Stack” Moore'. The brothers return to their hometown after World War I to start a new life, only to discover that a great evil, in the form of vampires, is waiting for them. Michael took to the Oscars stage, looking visibly in disbelief and wiping away his tears, and took the award from last year's winner, Adrien Brody.

Shortly after the Oscars 2026 ceremony wrapped up, Travis Scott, who shares children, Stormi and Aire, with Timothée Chalamet's current girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, shared an image of Michael B. Jordan on his Instagram Stories, where the Sinners star can be seen getting emotional as he held the golden statuette. For those unaware, Michael not only beat Timothée Chalamet, nominated for his role in Marty Supreme in the Best Actor category, but also other renowned actors like Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), and Wagner Moura (The Scarlet Agent). Now, although Travis Scott did not provide any additional commentary alongside the photo of Michael B. Jordan, many social media users suggested that he was subtly taking a dig at Timothée, given the timing.

Fans took to platforms like X and Reddit to express their thoughts on the photo. While many praised Michael's post as ‘iconic’, others called it nothing more than ‘petty’. One social media user wrote, “Travis Scott is a professional hater. I love it.” Another wrote, “Timothee Chalamet looks miserable, and Travis Scott was shading him and is there too…help this man.” A third user penned, “Okay, please, this is so iconic lmao. Because tell me when was the last time Travis Scott care about the Oscars?” Another user called out Travis for his actions and wrote, “Bro needs to move on, hating on the future stepdad of your kids is petty.”

Others quickly came to Travis' defence, saying that the picture he posted was never meant to shade Timothée at all. For instance, a fan of Travis penned, “People saying Travis Scott hating on Timothée Chalamet are y'all dumb, a black man who he's friends with won best actor, of course he'll post it.”

When Travis Scott dissed Timothée in his studio album, Utopia

By posting Michael B. Jordan's picture on his story, if it was indeed Travis Scott's intention to diss Timothée Chalamet, this was not his first time. Previously, in 2023, when Timothée and Kylie Jenner went public with their relationship, Travis taunted his ex's new boyfriend on his fourth studio album, Utopia. The track in question, where Travis dissed Timothée, was Meltdown as he can be heard rapping about “chocolate” and “the Willy Wonka Factory”, telling his ex-lover, whom he does not mention by name, to try finding “another flame hot as me bi*ch.” For the unversed, Timothée Chalamet had famously played the role of “Willy Wonka” in the 2023 film, Wonka, a prequel to the original 1971 movie, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
