During the peak wedding seasons, professional musicians have more than a single appointment scheduled in a day. So, they may not be able to entertain last-minute overtime requests.

Most of the live bands have their rates set beforehand, but that should not stop you from negotiating a good deal for yourself. Remember, if you are booking a band in the off-season, then you can negotiate a bit more than the usual peak season charges. Discuss what all is included in the charges, like travelling and equipment costs etc. Also, it is a good idea to seal the deal on paper, as soon as all the details are decided.
