For the unversed, Victoria Jones was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his first wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. Her sudden death on the very first day of the year left her family heartbroken and in shock. However, now, over a month later, the cause of death has been revealed, giving the family and Victoria's well-wishers some sort of closure. According to ABC7 Eyewitness News, Victoria died of an accidental c**aine overdose, as revealed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in San Francisco on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

The San Francisco medical examiner's office issued the death certificate for Victoria Jones, which revealed the cause of death. The medical examiner's office "certified the death certificate and assigned the manner of death as an 'accident', and the cause of death as 'Toxic effects of c**aine.'"

Actor, Tommy Lee Jones' daughter, Victoria Jones, was found dead in a hotel room. According to reports, she was at the Fairmont San Francisco hotel on New Year's Day. She was 34 years old at the time of her demise. San Francisco police had earlier shared that they found a deceased female at the hotel after responding to a report of a deceased person around 3:14 a.m. on January 1, 2026. 

The Fairmont San Francisco released a statement at the time, confirming the news of a deceased person being found at their establishment. They shared that they are deeply saddened by the occurrence and also extended their heartfelt condolences to the family. While they didn't directly name the person, they assured that they were actively cooperating with the investigation. The statement could be read as:

"We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time. The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation."

Victoria Jones was found in a 'drunken' state on the 14th floor of the hotel

It was previously reported by The Daily Mail that Victoria Jones was lying unresponsive on the 14th floor of the Fairmont hotel in San Francisco in the wee hours of January 1, 2026. While she was in that hotel in an unresponsive state, a guest found her on the 14th floor and thought she was really 'drunk', a source reported to The Daily Mail. The guest, after finding Victoria on the 14th floor, informed the staff, who realised that Victoria was unresponsive, and immediately informed the ambulance and started CPR.

The San Francisco Fire Department arrived at the hotel soon after. While the team tried to revive Victoria Jones, she was declared dead soon after. Victoria was only 34 years old, and according to staff members, it remains unclear whether she was a guest at the hotel or why she was on the 14th floor.
