What to expect in the film, Toaster?

The story of Toaster revolves around a miser named 'Ramakant' (played by Rajkummar Rao). He is married to Sanya Malhotra’s character. Together they go to a wedding ceremony. They gift a toaster priced at Rs. 5000 as the wedding present. However, the couple’s wedding gets called off the next day. While everyone is worried due to the wedding cancellation, 'Ramakant' is only concerned about the toaster that he gifted. Thus, he goes to the couple’s house to take back his toaster. The situation turns worse when the couple gets entangled in a murder case. The obsession to get back his toaster will land 'Ramakant' in bigger trouble. A press release statement describes the film as:

"Most wedding gifts are given, exchanged with a smile, and eventually forgotten. But what happens when the wedding gets called off after the gift exchange — and someone simply refuses to forget their gift? That’s where the madness of Netflix’s upcoming entertainer Toaster begins."
