Tina Campbell's Children With Teddy, All About Laiah, Meela, Glendon, Santana, And Cierra Amid Split

Trecina 'Tina' Campbell of the Grammy-winning gospel duo Mary Mary is once again in the spotlight for her marriage with Glendon 'Teddy' Campbell, but this time, it's not another infidelity scandal. After 25 years of staying married and weathering destructive storms, the couple has decided to formally end it for good. 

Tina's estranged husband, Teddy, filed for a divorce at the Los Angeles Superior Court on April 13, 2026, reportedly citing irreconcilable differences. According to court documents, the spouses have been living separately and share five children, including two minors. As the filing proceeds, it will be determined who will get primary custody.

With the divorce proceedings officially underway, the attention has shifted to the estranged couple's family life, especially the children, who have been a significant part of their lives and played a huge role in keeping the family together for so long. Both on-screen and off, the kids have played a central role in Tina's story.

Tina and Teddy are officially ending their marriage

Tina Campbell and Teddy Campbell tied the knot on August 12, 2000, when Teddy was established as a drummer and singer, having worked with the gospel group The Soul Seekers and on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In his court filing on April 13, 2026, Teddy mentioned that the two had unofficially separated in June 2024. Regarding custody and parenting rights, the drummer didn’t select any specific options and instead asked the court to sort out visitation. He also requested that decisions about spousal support be handled later as the case moves forward.

Reports have also mentioned that the estranged spouses had no shared or separate "community property" issues that required division. Considering that the separation has already happened unofficially, it can be assumed that the divorce proceedings will be smooth, as Tina and Teddy seem to have already reached an agreement about property and possessions in private.

How many children do Tina and Teddy share?

Tina and Teddy Campbell share five children, including a daughter from Teddy's previous relationship. Their first child, a daughter, Laiah Simone Campbell, was born on September 10, 2001, 16 days before she was due. Tina has occasionally mentioned Laiah in her interviews as her source of strength during difficult times. Now 21, Laiah studies at the Tennessee State University as a Family & Consumer Sciences major. She has followed in her father's footsteps in drumming and even performed a gig at her school's gospel event.

The couple's second daughter, Meela Jane Campbell, was born prematurely in June 2007, at just 33 weeks. However, she grew up healthy and strong and is reportedly very close to her siblings. She has reportedly followed her mother and aunt's footsteps into singing and gave her first public performance in October 2025. 

Tina and Teddy's first son, Glendon Theodore Campbell Jr. (named after Teddy), was born in October 2009 and is also known as TJ. Much of his childhood was documented on the reality TV show Mary Mary, which featured the professional and personal lives of his mother and aunt, Erica Campbell. The 16-year-old has also shown amazing potential in music growing up.

The couple's youngest child, Santana Campbell, is also a boy. Born in August 2012, he is 13 years old as of April 2026. When he was born in Los Angeles, ESSENCE reported how his birth was a moment of great joy for the family, and he has since been the baby of the household. While he is the youngest, Santana is surely one of the biggest sources of encouragement for Tina, and has shown a strong interest in faith and public speaking. 

Besides Tina's biological children, she is also a loving mother to her stepdaughter, Cierra Campbell, born from Teddy's previous relationship. Born in 1994, Cierra is the oldest of the five Campbell children, and she spent a significant part of her growing-up years with her father and Tina. Cierra's childhood was documented on Mary Mary. 

The children are a key source of inspiration and encouragement for Tina Campbell

Over the years, Tina Campbell has mentioned time and again how her children have been her primary source of motivation, who have helped her grow spiritually. The award-winning gospel star has largely kept the kids away from the spotlight, except for love-filled glimpses of her family life on social media. Based on her recent social media posts, all four of her children often hang out together, but it is not clear if they have been primarily living with the 51-year-old singer after her separation from Glendon (Teddy).

Over the years, Tina has often spoken about her role as a mother and how deeply her children shaped her decisions, especially during difficult times in her marriage. The couple's marriage hit a major roadblock in 2014 when Teddy's infidelity became public. Tina later revealed in interviews the emotional toll it took on her, but the pair still chose to reconcile at the time to keep the family and their children from falling apart.
