Now, just days after the incident, Tim McGraw is hogging the spotlight for something entirely different. For those unaware, recent reports revealed that Tim and Faith Hill’s daughter, Maggie McGraw, is engaged!
Maggie McGraw’s sisters helped her boyfriend with the proposal
Maggie McGraw is going through one of the best phases of her life as she said “yes” to her boyfriend, James Rubin. In an August 29, 2026, post shared by Maggie’s sister, Gracie, she and their youngest sister, Audrey, had helped with the proposal.
Gracie posted a photo of the bride-to-be, who could be seen showing off her beautiful engagement ring. In the caption, she revealed that James proposed to her sister in what she called the most “Maggie way possible.” She said that their family was present during the proposal and claimed that it was an honor to have set things up perfectly for Maggie. In her words:
“@jamesrubin170 proposed to our sister @maggiemaymcgraw in the greatest, most Maggie way possible, filled with flowers and family. It’s an honor to have been a small part of the process of getting things set up and perfect for our Mags, I will never forget it.”
Gracie added that they couldn't have successfully pulled off the proposal without the help of Tim Ehrlich and her youngest sibling, Audrey. She wrote:
“Couldn’t have done it without the help of the best friend a gal could have @timothyehrlich and the artistry of our beautiful sister @audreymcgraw. Can’t believe our sister is engaged!!!! AHH!!”
Gracie stated that she is super excited to have two new sisters “added to the mix,” while referring to James Rubin’s siblings, Logan and Ellie. She also said that she is equally excited about her new brother-in-law, who will love her sister "fiercely and wholly.” Gracie concluded by thanking James for making Maggie the happiest lady “in all the land.”
For those wondering about Tim McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill’s reaction to Maggie's engagement, the duo is yet to publicly comment on it. Despite the silence on the matter, it is worth mentioning that Tim had shared a birthday tribute for his daughter just a few days before the good news was revealed. In the post, the Live Like You Were Dying singer wrote:
“Happy 28th birthday to our amazing middle girl Maggie!! We are all so very proud of you. Your integrity, your work ethic, and your devotion to your family are wonderful gifts that we get to enjoy and take pride in every day. Keep on rockin it, Maggie May! We love you so much!!
