Tilly Norwood is a famous AI-generated actress, ready to make her debut in 2026. She is all over the headlines with her 'girl next door' personality that made the world notice her. However, she was created by an extremely talented and gorgeous woman, Eline Van der Velden. The creator once revealed that there were '2000 iterations' around Norwood's personality till they found that authenticity is the best trait for her.

Eline Van Der Velden is the mind behind the creation of the beautiful, artificially designed actress, Tilly Norwood. She is the founder of the award-winning AI production company, Particle6. She was born in Curacao but migrated from the Caribbean to produce stories for the world.

Eline Van Der Veden's educational qualifications and early life

Eline is trained in Drama and Musical Theatre at the Arts. Educational School in Tring, Hertfordshire. She also studied Physics at Imperial College London with a Master's project on Nuclear Fusion. After her graduation, she taught maths and physics to children. She has also performed in several Dutch national Television series. 

Eline is also a famous actress and started her career as the face of the Dutch shampoo brand, Andrelon. She has also worked on a film with Jamie Dornan. It was in 2012, she took training in improv comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles. Since there were no great projects coming her way, she created her own comedy show, Miss Holland. It won the best Online Comedy award at the 2013 Lovie Awards. She was the number 1 maker on DailyMotion, and it was commissioned by BBC Three. 

Soon, Eline became the managing director of the Dutch video platform Makers Channel. However, it was later acquired by Benelux conglomerate De Persgroep in November 2016. And at the age of 27, Eline took the opportunity to start her award-winning company Particle6.

Eline is the founder of Particle6, which was selected as one of the PACT Future30. She is known as the most creative UK female founders. She has clients including BBC, Sky, and Mihoyo: Genshin Impact. Her team works remotely and is based around the globe. Her AI company has won the Innovate UK Creative Catalyst Grant award and the BFI Global Screenfund International Expansion Grant Award. The company specialises in delivering high-quality shows, commercial content, and impressive experiences with digital media campaigns. They are known for merging scientific creativity with data analysis and AI.

Tilly Norwood has huge expectations of becoming a huge star, but she is not just a year old, as she was created by Eline Van Der Velden in 2025. However, her birth as an AI-actress has sparked controversy, as most of Hollywood is against her. Eline's first appearance was seen in the AI Commissioner produced by Particle6. However, within a few months, many agents reached out to Eline to cast her as an AI actress. And she wants her AI-actress to become Scarlett Johansson or Natalie Portman. 

However, Hollywood is totally against the casting of an AI actress. Emily Blunt openly criticised the idea and called it scary. She even requested that the casting agents not take away the human connection. Other actor also expressed their discomfort over the casting of the AI-generated actress. 

Apart from actors, the Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio Artists also expressed their disappointment over Tilly Norwood's existence. They revealed that she is not an actor but a character generated by a computer program. They further started that creativity should remain human-centred. The statement can be read as:

"To be clear, 'Tilly Norwood' is not an actor. It's a character generated by a computer program that was trained on the work of countless professional performers - without permission or compensation. Creativity is, and should remain, human-centred. The union is opposed to the replacement of human performers by synthetics."

However, Eline gave a befitting reply to the opposition of her AI-generated actress. She called it not a replacement for people, but a tool and a new paintbrush. Just like animation or puppetry. Her note can be read as:

"I see Al not as a replacement for people, but as a new tool - a new paintbrush. Just as animation, puppetry, or CGI opened fresh possibilities without taking away from live acting, Al offers another way to imagine and build stories. I'm an actor myself, and nothing - certainly not an Al character - can take away the craft or joy of human performance."
