With mind games, alliances, and deception at its core, the series blends strategy and drama as contestants compete to win the prize money while figuring out who they can actually trust. The show was renewed for a second season after the success of Season 1. The streaming platform has now slowly started promoting the upcoming installment, and there is a lot of curiosity to know who is participating this time.
The Traitors Season 2 will feature a new lineup of popular faces
The Traitors Season 2 recently came into the headlines after Amazon Prime Video shared a promotional video on its official Instagram handle on July 25, 2026, announcing the arrival of the new installment. Multiple people can be seen wearing red outfits and walking somewhere while the public watches and records them.
However, the video did not reveal anything about the contestants participating this time. But the basic expectation is that there will be a lot of influencers, TV and film actors, models, and contestants from other popular shows.
Meanwhile, several reports have emerged about the contestants participating in The Traitors Season 2. One particular report in March 2026 featured the name of veteran actor Dalip Tahil. The same report included other names like Shweta Tiwari, Munawar Faruqui, Mallika Sherawat, Elvish Yadav, Shalini Passi, Sanjay Kapoor, Rubina Dilaik, Abhishek Malhan, Rhea Chakraborty, Parul Gulati, and Aaditya Kulshreshth.
Another report says that MTV Splitsvilla and Khatron Ke Khiladi participant Soundous Moufakir will also be featured in Season 2. The report even mentioned Rapper Ikka, also known as Ikka and Ikka Singh. Chef Ranveer Brar was even reported to be participating in Season 2 alongside actress Krystle D’Souza. But the names reported by the outlets are not confirmed, and people have to wait until the premiere of Season 2.
The Traitors Season 2 was filmed in March 2026
The first season of The Traitors was filmed in Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer. Notably, it has been reported that the second season has been shot in the same location. In March 2026, a report stated that Karan Johar was planning to start filming for The Traitors Season 2. In the same month, Amazon Prime Video also confirmed the return of the show with a post shared on X (formerly Twitter).
The Traitors was renewed for a second season in June 2025. Director and Head of Originals for Prime Video India, Nikhil Madhok, expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the show has managed to connect with the audience. Nikhil also stated:
“As we continue to shape a bold and diverse unscripted slate at Prime Video, The Traitors stands out as a marquee title that pushes the boundaries of the reality genre. Bouyed by the overwhelming response, we’re thrilled to begin work on Season Two and take the experience to the next level.”
As of this writing, a premiere date for The Traitors Season 2 is not confirmed yet, and further updates on the same are awaited.
