Matt Damon plays the role of 'Dane Dumars' and Ben Affleck portrays the role of Detective Sergeant 'J.D. Byrne'. 'Dane' and 'J.D. Byrne' have worked together for years and have a close connection. The story of The Rip revolves around a group of Miami cops who discover millions of dollars in an abandoned building. However, things turned chaotic when outside forces learn about the cash. The trust within the Miami cops’ group begins to break.
