Now that The Rip is making headlines, let’s have a look at the netizens’ reviews of it.
Matt Damon plays the role of 'Dane Dumars' and Ben Affleck portrays the role of Detective Sergeant 'J.D. Byrne'. 'Dane' and 'J.D. Byrne' have worked together for years and have a close connection. The story of The Rip revolves around a group of Miami cops who discover millions of dollars in an abandoned building. However, things turned chaotic when outside forces learn about the cash. The trust within the Miami cops’ group begins to break.

It is powered by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, who are superb as the lead pairing. Overall rating 8/10 Joe Carnahan is an amazing director."

Some users truly loved the performance of the duo, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The film perfectly captures that old-school crime movie feel while still being fresh and unique." Spanish-speaking Ben Affleck & Matt Damon still remembered each other’s rhythm like they never skipped a beat. The film was not unpredictable, but it was an enjoyable popcorn flick #TheRip." Another user penned, "Watched The Rip with zero expectations, ended up loving it. Dark action, sharp twists, strong story & beautiful lighting. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, the best couple is back."

Another user wrote, "The Rip: an intriguing surprise that swaps easy pyrotechnics for psychological tension, leaning on the undeniable charisma of the Matt Damon & Ben Affleck duo and a steady direction by Joe Carnahan that values spatial containment. #TheRip Despite a lack of deeper secondary character development, the film stands out for the honesty with which it treats its themes & its refusal to betray the logic of its protagonists in favour of mindless spectacle. It’s a raw portrait of the fragility of human bonds when faced with absolute temptation that doesn’t deserve to go unnoticed."
