'The Raja Saab': Made On A Rs. 400 Crore Budget, How Much Did Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, And Others Earn?

The year 2026 is gearing up to be the best one for Telugu movie watchers. Among the films that are scheduled to release this year, Maruthi's The Raja Saab is the most anticipated one. Viewers can expect an amazing blend of horror, comedy, action, and fantasy from the film, which will leave them glued to their seats. The film sports a star-studded cast, including the likes of superstar, Prabhas, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Malavika Mohanan, Sanjay Dutt, Brahmanandam, Yogi Babu, and more. Now, because of the huge cast and its grand production, fans are curious to know more about The Raja Saab's budget and the fees each actor took home.  

How much did Prabhas and the main cast of The Raja Saab take home? 

Prabhas is one of the most renowned actors in the South Indian film industry. He made his acting debut almost two decades ago with the 2002 drama, Eshwar. Over the years, he has made his way to the top, and the fees he charges for acting in films also reflect the same. If reports are to be believed, Prabhas usually charges around Rs. 150 crore per film. Although he is one of the main attractions of The Raja Saab, the actor has reportedly agreed to take a substantial pay cut, 33 per cent to be exact. This means that, allegedly, he will take home Rs. 100 crore for the upcoming film.

As per reports, Prabhas's remuneration for his last film before this, Adipurush, was Rs. 150 crore. One of the main reasons that Prabhas is believed to have settled for a lower sum for The Raja Saab is that he wanted to show his support for the film, ultimately giving the makers a chance to invest more in their grand-scale production, including the sets and VFX.  

Alongside Prabhas, the rest of The Raja Saab's main cast also saw big earnings. For instance, veteran actor, Sanjay Dutt, who plays a significant role in the film, is said to have taken home somewhere between Rs. 5 to Rs. 6 crore. Actress, Malavika Mohanan, who you will see as the female lead in the film, allegedly earned a Rs. 2 crore salary. It is worth mentioning that The Raja Saab will mark her debut in Tollywood. Coming to Nidhi Agerwal, the actress took a whopping Rs. 1 to Rs. 1.5 crore while her co-star, Riddhi Kumar, was paid Rs. 3 crore for her part in the film. Brahmanandam, who you can rest assured will provide you with a lot of comic relief in the movie, allegedly bagged Rs. 80 lakh. Bollywood actor, Anupam Kher, who also appears in the film, was paid close to Rs. 1 crore. To mention, none of the numbers here are officially confirmed by the makers and are only based on media reports.

The Raja Saab's budget was as much as that of RRR and Sikandar 

The Raja Saab is scheduled to release worldwide on January 9, 2026. With anticipation for the Maruthi-directed film as high as ever, a promotional video featuring some of the film's actors, including Prabhas, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Spirit director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, was recently released. While the makers had been really tight-lipped about The Raja Saab's cost, Sandeep, in the video, let slip that it was as much as SS Rajamouli's RRR and AR Murugadoss' Sikandar. The slip-up allegedly happened when Sandeep was teasing Prabhas, who initially thought he could wrap up the film quickly. He said:  

“It’s a big set, three heroines, songs are there, daadi (grandmother) is there, and Rs. 400 crore budget, and he said he’ll finish it in 40 days.”
