The alleged fallout between popular adult content creator Lena the Plug and her husband, podcaster Adam22, has been making headlines for the last few days following the former’s alleged divorce filing. But the story took an unexpected turn when Lena came forward to deny filing any divorce papers and claimed someone had used her identity to fraudulently submit the documents.

Court documents reportedly revealed that Lena, 35, had filed to end her marriage to 42-year-old Adam22 (real name Adam John Grandmaison), after their alleged split in April 2026. The filing was reportedly submitted to Los Angeles County on June 1, 2026, and sought legal sole custody of the couple’s five-year-old daughter, along with an equal distribution of their shared assets.

Reports citing the documents also claimed that Lena had limited access to the couple's financial information, with no knowledge of certain other financial details during their marriage. The filing alleged that the adult content creator was receiving USD 3,000 per month from Adam22 for spousal support. With these allegations, the filing stated that Lena and Adam's shared assets were worth USD 1.1 million, and she sought half of it.

Lena, however, has strongly denied the statements, insisting that she has complete control over her finances and often earns more than her husband. "We're both breadwinners, but I make more most of the time, and I have access to all of my finances," she said.

Lena The Plug denies filing for divorce, alleges identity theft

Lena quickly responded to the divorce filing reports by taking to her Instagram to say the abuse allegations are false and that she didn’t even know about the abuse until she received the court paperwork in the mail. The court paperwork reportedly included divorce filings with her personal details, such as her address, with a signature she claims is forged.

The reports also allegedly had a name that sounded familiar. The content creator quickly shut down all the buzz, insisting that she never submitted any legal paperwork. Instead, Lena alleged that an obsessed stalker had been repeatedly attempting to file for divorce on her behalf. In her video shared on Instagram, the OnlyFans model said:

"I guess they finally figured out how to properly file for a divorce because now there is a legitimate case number at the courthouse under my name. They have been forging my signature—and I know who they are because their name is on the check that got sent to my house, claiming that I want to be divorced."

Lena claims that someone repeatedly attempted to file divorce paperwork in her name, even forging her signature. While the identity of the stalker remains to be known, Lena claimed that the stalker may have been manipulated by someone else impersonating her online. Speaking to TMZ, which was the first outlet to report the new divorce filing, the content creator said:

"Maybe this person is so upset by our lifestyle and by the fact that Adam allows me to have these extramarital relationships, so they want to free me from him by filing for this divorce."

The individual under investigation allegedly believes that they are in a relationship with Lena. The OnlyFans creator believes the suspect may be obsessed with her and against her unconventional marital dynamic with Adam. For those unaware, Lena the Plug and Adam22 have often described their relationship as an open marriage, one that allows sexual encounters with multiple people while the couple remains strictly committed to one another. 

Speaking about the suspected identity thief, Lena alleges that the person may have harbored the belief that she has been stuck in an abusive marriage with the podcaster, and the repeated divorce filing attempts could help "free" the adult entertainer. Lena believes the stalker is a delusional fan living out of state who is being catfished by an online impersonator pretending to be her.

Before the explosive courthouse incident, the same individual allegedly made multiple calls to the police for wellness checks on Lena, alleging that Adam22 was abusing her. These requests have reportedly triggered multiple unwanted wellness checks at Lena and Adam's family home.

LAPD officially launches an investigation into the alleged stalker

Days before the forged divorce documents were filed, Lena had already contacted the authorities seeking protection from her alleged stalker. Reports suggest that the OF entertainer initially contacted the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in early May, weeks before the divorce drama came out in public. While authorities initially dismissed the case, the identity fraud situation now appears to have become serious enough for law enforcement involvement.

Following the public mix-up, the LAPD launched an official investigation into the forgery and falsification of court records. Authorities are reportedly now looking into both old and new claims by Lena of identity theft, forgery, and fraudulent court filings. Lena and Adam22 are also reportedly working with legal counsel to reverse the filing and to prevent similar future events.

What is the current situation of Lena and Adam22's marriage?

Contrary to widespread speculation online, Lena has made it clear that she and Adam are still very much happily married and they don't plan on divorcing. In her lengthy Instagram post addressing the controversy, the OF star said she loves her husband and their life together and believes the person responsible may genuinely think they are helping her. Adam, too, echoed similar emotions on his IG Stories, declaring that he loves his wife and would never turn his back on her.
