Recalling those days, Malaika said:
“We both fell in love at the same time. But, I was the one who said that we should get married. Arbaaz did not propose to me."

Malaika and Arbaaz come from two different religions, which readily lead to the speculations regarding what culture will they chose to celebrate their wedding. But, what they did put all the questions at bay.
On December 12,1998, after five years of being in a steady relationship, Malaika and Arbaaz took vows in front of their friends and family in a church, in the morning. In 2002, Malaika gave birth to a baby boy, and they became proud parents of baby Arhaan. Although, Arhaan is the baby, Malaika considers handling Arbaaz a rather tough job. But she also said that:
"He (Arbaaz) is a very supportive husband."

She considers him her strength that has helped her to be where she is right now.
