Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleAfter a successful run of four seasons, the FX on Hulu series, The Bear, has finally ended with its fifth season. It aired back in 2022 and gained recognition for its unique subject, which also received appreciation from real-life culinary experts for bringing an authentic image of restaurant life to the small screen. While it focuses on the lead character trying to handle a restaurant, the show even explores his personal issues, bringing a different experience.
Considering that this is the end, it can be expected that the future of the restaurant will be questioned. But the conclusion is satisfying enough, as it does not keep anything open for the audience, giving a proper closure to the fans. Keep reading to know what happens in the finale! (Spoilers ahead)

‘Carmy’ has been one of the most important characters of the show. His cooking skills are one of the reasons why the restaurant has survived so long. However, everyone is well aware of the fact that he did not want to stay in this world anymore. This was something that was revealed in the previous season. The final season features ‘Carmy’ forming a close bond with those who have supported him so far. He starts forming an emotional connection with a few characters at the same time.

In between all these, ‘Carmy’ appears for an interview at an architecture company, seemingly aiming to take a different path. This also appears as the best place for ‘Carmy’ after the restaurant, since he can relax and work on only one thing without feeling the pressure anymore. While he has now left the restaurant, ‘Carmy’ can be spotted in an apron, hinting at the fact that he has formed a close relationship with cooking.

‘Ebraheim’ always wanted to make The Bear a franchise, expanding it to multiple locations. ‘Carmy’ finally decides to consider the option. However, this is only for the sandwich arm of the company, The Original Beef of Chicagoland, which was originally owned by his brother, ‘Mikey.’

Although ‘Carmy’ does not own or run the restaurant anymore, his approval for The Beef to franchise still felt important. This even suggests that he retains some interest in the branch that is going to become a franchise, or he is possibly allowing something that belongs to his family’s legacy to evolve into something new. On the other hand, ‘Ebraheim’ has seemingly become the leader in executing the entire plan. This also suits him since he will look after the portion that will be a franchise and take over a large part of the restaurant.

In between all these, the truth behind the two Michelin stars given to the restaurant is also revealed. Although everyone had their doubts about a customer named ‘Deeborn,’ the person was disclosed as ‘Peter Clark,’ who visited the restaurant a few months ago. But this is not ‘Peter Clark’s’ first appearance. He was spotted in an episode of Season 4, where he observed everything inside the restaurant while having food alone. ‘Carmy’ and ‘Syd’ are happy to hear the good news as they realise that their hard work was not wasted.
As mentioned, ‘Carmy’ goes to find something outside the restaurant. He finally gets in touch with ‘Claire’ once again. They have shared a close relationship, even though it is not revealed if they have developed feelings for each other. ‘Carmy’ also informs his brother that everything is good. ‘Syd’ joins a two-star restaurant as a head chef and hires ‘Tina’ as a Chef de Cuisine, giving her what she deserved for the work she did at the restaurant.

‘Carmy’ also gives the journals from his career to ‘Marcus,’ appreciating his skills as a chef. Moreover, ‘Marcus’ is still focused on the pastries and desserts. ‘Cousin Richie’ gets an opportunity to go to a conference in Japan, and he has seemingly found his true love in ‘Jessica.’ Things are much better now between ‘Richie’ and everyone else, including his ex-wife and her new husband, and his daughter. ‘Richie’ also organises a birthday party for his daughter at the restaurant.
