'RHOBH' Fame, Teddi Mellencamp Opens Up About Her BF, Amid Her Cancer Battle, 'He's Older Than I Am'

Teddi Mellencamp, who is best-known for her appearance in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been going through the toughest phase of her life even since she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. For the unversed, Teddi opened up about her cancer battle in 2022. Amid that, she recently had a candid conversation during which she revealed that she is in a relationship with someone, who is beautifully handling Teddi amid her tough battles.

Teddi Mellencamp reveals she is in a relationship with an older man

Recently, the former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Teddi Mellencamp appeared on the podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, during which she opened up about her relationship with a mystery man. Even though she didn't reveal the name of her boyfriend, Teddi stated that he is older than her and because of the same, they are taking things very slow. She explained that in her past, she has never taken things slow in a relationship. She was quoted as saying:

"We're going to call him Derek. He's older than I am. That's the thing when you're dating and you're both parents. Like, how are you ever supposed to get past first base? I have kids in my house. He has kids in his house. These are the things that I haven't brought up on these dates. I'm taking it slow with him. Normally that hasn't been my past."

Teddi Mellencamp's boyfriend has a logical approach towards her cancer battle

Further, Teddi Mellencamp also opened up about her stage 4 cancer battle. When asked about how her boyfriend reacted to her health battles, the reality personality explained that he is pretty good with it and tries his best to make her laugh all the time. In her words:

"He's pretty good about it. He's a relatively positive and logical person in general. But the thing that I like the most about him is he makes me laugh."

Teddi Mellencamp’s previous relationship with Edwin Arroyave

For those who do not know, before finding solace in a mystery man, Teddi Mellencamp was previously in a relationship with Edwin Arroyave. If reports are to be believed, Teddi and Edwin’s love story began in 2008, after meeting at a club. The duo instantly connected and soon started dating. In 2011, the two got married. The couple stayed married for nearly 13 years, until they decided to split in 2023. The duo shares three children, Slate, Cruz and Dove.

If reports are to be believed, Teddi and Edwin are still not divorced. Even though they filed for divorce in 2024, they kept their proceedings on hold amid Teddi’s cancer battle. On his podcast, The Eds, Edwin opened up about his estranged wife’s cancer battle and shared:

"People think that's hard, but for me, that's just what I do. Like it's no matter what, I will always love Teddi and she's been a big part of my life ... So it wasn't even, like, a question."
