Tannaz And Bakhtiyaar Left Home After Family Opposed Their Love, 'Mai Garden Me Raha Do Raat'

Tannaz Irani and Bakhtiyaar Irani's love story has all the elements of a Bollywood film. They met as contestants on the reality show Fame Gurukul in 2005-2006. After a terrible prank, the two became friends and hopelessly fell in love. Their emotions towards each other were so pure that despite their family’s disapproval, they never left each other’s side.

Tannaz and Bakhtiyaar left home after their family opposed their love

In a conversation with Hauterrfly, Tannaz and Bakhtiyaar shared their love story. When Bakhtiyaar went to Tannaz’s home to talk about the wedding, her parents got so angry that a fight broke out. Her family was against the alliance and wanted Bakhtiyaar out of Tannaz’s life. She got so scared that she told him this alliance was not possible, but when a heartbroken Bakhtiyaar looked at her, something in her changed.

She asked him to wait downstairs while she tried to convince her parents. But her family didn’t agree, and she left her home to be with him. On the other hand, Bakhtiyaar revealed that his mother knew something was cooking when she saw him with Tannaz on the reality show. But even his mother was against their alliance and told him, ‘pack your bags if you want to date this girl and get out.’

In the same conversation, Bakhtiyaar revealed that he also left his home and spent time in the garden and in his car. The duo left home and soon moved in together. Tannaz lost her father to cancer before she could tie the knot with Bakhtiyaar. The couple only wanted to see their loved ones happy at the altar, and their sisters played a very important role in bringing both families together. Tanaaz and Bakhtiyaar married in 2007. The couple has a son named Zeus and a daughter named Zara.

Tanaaz and Bakhtiyaar’s fallout rumours

There have been quite a few reports in the past stating that the couple’s marriage was hitting rocks. The reason stated was either Bakhtiyar’s alleged closeness to a female co-star or the actor’s display of a bad temper. However, both Tanaaz and Bakhtiyar have always denied these rumors and stood by each other, putting the gossip mills at rest. 

The rumour mills buzzed again about a possible separation after Tanaaz got eliminated from Bigg Boss 3. But Tanaaz gave a befitting reply that their marriage is too strong to be affected by strangers. When asked about trust in a relationship, Tanaaz had once said:

“Come what may, trust between the couple is of utmost importance, especially if both parties work long hours. I think this is most crucial to ensure stability in the marriage and both have to strive to live up to it.”

Before marrying Bakhtiyaar, Tanaaz was married to stage artist Farid Currim. The couple had a huge age gap, and the actress was even abandoned by her community for marrying somebody who was not from the same community. She became a mother to Zianne at the age of 20. However, the marriage didn’t last long. Due to the age difference and busy careers, they grew apart.

From their family’s opposition to leaving home, Tannaz and Bakhtiyaar faced many hurdles in being together forever.
