If there is one celeb kid who can lift the mood of the entire nation with one infectious look, it is none other than Taimur Ali Khan. Born on December 20, 2016, to star parents, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, the one-and-a-half-year-old, Taimur is everybody’s favourite. Every time we stumble upon his one picture or video, we can’t help but get swayed away in his cuteness. Even the paparazzi are all around him, every day to get his one click. In the most recent video of Taimur, he has surpassed all the levels of cuteness and it’s very evident that he has now, over time, developed an expertise in handling the paparazzi. As you can see, Taimur is outside his house, and is looking like a cotton ball in his navy blue sleeveless anchor t-shirt, paired with white Nike shoes. Born in the lap of limelight and fame, he is waving at the media as if he is no less of a star than his parents. Well, guess what? Is there any doubt to accept it? The most adorable part of the video, however, comes at the last when he has entered his house, and can be heard screaming ‘abba’ looking towards the building. In fact, in a recent interview with DNA, papa Saif revealed that Taimur has now learnt a few words, and one of which is ‘abba’. Saif told DNA, “He has learnt a few new words. He calls me ‘abba’ and has now started to say ‘baby’ and ‘gum’. Whenever he sees a chewing gum, he would just scream ‘gum’. He likes to watch the moon, so I sit with him in my office and show him the moon”.
Taimur has a huge fan following not only on the social media but in the real world as well, as is evident from the paparazzi always stationed outside his house. Speaking about Taimur’s growing popularity, Saif added in the interview, “Taimur should be freely able to take his evening outing in the park. It becomes difficult in certain situations, but the photographers are really friendly. They are just doing their jobs and they don’t push him or his nanny, which is really kind. Even mommy Kareena has spoken about Taimur’s insane fan-following in various interviews. In one such media interaction, the Veere Di Wedding actress said, “I do not like the fact that every day, Taimur’s moves are being monitored and you know, pictures are being out, what he’s doing, what he’s wearing, discussing his hairstyle. But I don’t know how to stop it; they are just following him around”.
Talking about Taimur’s antics and how he spends a day with his little son, Saif shared in another interview, “For example, Taimur wakes up at 7.30 am, I am up by 9 am. He comes, takes the torch by my bed and puts it in his mouth like the doctor. He keeps doing things like that. He likes to see the moon, which is nice. He watches it before he goes to sleep every day. He loves nature and is quite outdoorsy. He imitates us doing yoga by making some painful noises which obviously, I’m making while I’m stretching. He does a good side bend and falls over”.
In an interview with The Indian Express, dated September 25, 2018 (yesterday), Kareena revealed who picked up Taimur’s name and was quoted as saying, “Of course, it’s a bit unusual. It was Saif, obviously. He loves history, he is very articulate on the warriors he likes. He had a neighbour whose name was Taimur, he was fascinated by him, and he used to play with him a lot. And the name kind of stayed with him. That along with the fact that the name means iron”.
