If you think Taimur Ali Khan is just a two-year-old who’s life revolves around playschool and home, then you’re wrong! With the birthday celebrations in South Africa, Christmas celebrations with Kapoor and Pataudi clans in India and New Year plans in London, Taimur makes us wish we could swap places with him, just for once at least. On December 26, 2018, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan along with a sleepy Taimur Ali Khan were snapped at the Mumbai airport as they jetted off to London to ring in the New Year. While Kareena looked stunning in a black leather jacket and denim which she paired with black boots, Saif looked dapper in a semi-formal attire. Little Tim Tim, who seemed sleepy, was cuddled comfortably in his nanny's arms.
Coming back to the Christmas, it was double celebrations for Taimur as on Christmas Eve, he partied along with his half-siblings, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Khan. Sara shared photos of herself with dad Saif and brothers Taimur and Ibrahim. Kareena too joined them on the couch for a click. Sara captioned the pictures as, “Merry merry merry Christmas to everyone”.
It was followed by an annual Christmas brunch at Shashi Kapoor's house. Karisma took to her Instagram handle to share an inside glimpse from their annual Christmas lunch. Sharing a family portrait of herself with her kids, Kiaan and Samiera, parents, Babita and Randhir and sister-jiju Kareena and Saif with their little one, Taimur, Karisma captioned it, "Christmas Lunch, the tradition continues... Thank you #kunalkapoor @zahankapoor @shairakapoor for always being fabulous hosts. Missed all our family members who couldn’t make it today." For his second birthday, Kareena and Saif went for a work-cum-leisure vacation in South Africa and the pictures of them from their trip is, needless to say, drool-worthy! In one of the pictures, Taimur can be seen twinning with mommy, Kareena as they were wearing a similar set of glares. Kareena and Taimur surely are posers and now we figured out where did this little one gets his ‘swag’ from. The mother-son duo is seen soaking in the sun, posing with an umbrella. Before Taimur’s second birthday on December 20, 2018, some photos of Kareena, Saif and Taimur went viral on social media, from a beach in South Africa. While Kareena can be seen wearing a white summery and breezy dress, which she paired with a yellow hairband and glares, Saif too kept it casual in a light blue and white striped shirt which he paired with white shorts and a beach hat. And baby Tim charmed us and looked adorable beyond belief in his light blue tee with khaki shorts. Here’s their family picture:
Speaking about traveling with Taimur in an interview with Conde Nast Traveller, and what kind of holidays they take and the experiences they want their little one to have, Saif had stated, “Despite having the idea of trying different things, we’ve ended up (and my wife is quite annoyed about this) going to the same places and doing the same things every year—London in summer, Gstaad in winter, with some parts of India, like Rajasthan and Pataudi, in between. We would have liked to go to more places in Italy and France—and we will. But you know, there is also something comforting about going to the same places, because the people know you and the hotel feels like home. With Taimur, we also end up travelling with a bit of an entourage. We never travelled light, but after Taimur, we travel even heavier.”
“When was the last time either of you did something for the first time?”, Kareena replied to this question, “Well, I’m experiencing motherhood for the first time, so everything with Taimur is a first. Travelling with him is especially new and exciting—even if we’re going to a place I’ve been to before, taking him there makes it so different.
