When we talk about fairytale love, the first name that comes into our mind is that of Ayushmann Khurana and his lovely wife, Tahira Kashyap. They had tested the bond of their relationship when Ayushmann had entered into the glamour world. But, the two have crossed all the rough patches and have emerged as true power couple.
Tahira and Ayushmann had begun dating in college and had tied the knot in November 2008. You understand the true value of a relationship when you go through bad times. The first few years of Tahira and Ayushmann’s marriage were not smooth and they had faced many issues in understanding each other. Filmmaker and actor Ayushmann Khurana’s wife, Tahira Kashyap is giving some serious inspirational goals to everybody out there. Tahira was diagnosed with early stage of breast cancer and is now on a road to recovery. Tahira, in an interview with the Mid-Day, revealed that she would cry when her husband, Ayushmann was out for shoots. She said, “I never treated my body, mind and soul as one entity. I always thought physical health was important, and mental toh kuch hota hi nahin hai. So, I exercised a lot. But I think [the cancer] was a manifestation of the negativity that I had been harbouring. Had I gone to a doctor, I would have been declared clinically depressed. But I chose to cry every night instead of visiting one. I was living a dual life. My husband was shooting; I would spend hours at night crying, and put up the front of a happy person in the morning so that I didn’t look like a loser before my children, who were aged two and four then.”
Tahira Kashyap had even thought about giving up on her marriage with Ayushmann Khurana. In a throwback interview with an online portal, Tahira had revealed, “I had given up many times but he did not. He didn't use to give up but he also didn't makeup. We both have really evolved as artists, as companions and we have seen a journey including cancer being a part of it. Where we are right now, it is at its strongest best." (Suggested Read: Rakhi Sawant Is Learning To Cook Just For Her Hubby, Ritesh, Says They've Bought A House In London)
Ayushmann Khurana in earlier interviews had opened up about the rough patch in their marriage and had said, “She wanted that I should not kiss on screen. You see, we were like each other’s first boyfriend and girlfriend. We were also going through a rough patch. She was not ready for all this. Every relationship needs time. If you give time to your partner, he/she will feel much more secure.”
Tahira, in a throwback interview, had revealed that she had a problem with Ayushmann kissing on the screen when she was expecting a baby. She had stated, “I had a problem with him kissing on screen. I felt like a big, huge fat whale sitting at home. When you are pregnant your hormones also go up and down. Here this boy is looking at his youngest youth best and he is romancing women and what is this onscreen kiss."
Tahira had further added, “We both were very young. He didn't have the time and patience to take me along and I didn't have the patience to understand. There was this disconnect that we were not there for each other to take each other along in that journey. Somewhere he knew that she doesn't mean mad. I also knew he wasn't cheating. I had to evolve as a person to understand what art is."
Tahira Kashyap had once revealed that the Buddhist chanting had made changes in her life and she was able to fight with the deadly disease because of the chantings. She had said, “It was only after I practised Buddhist chanting, and focused on my mental health that things changed. In a way, I’m glad that [I was diagnosed with cancer] at a time when I was strong enough to deal with it.” (Do Read: Shah Rukh Khan Advised His Daughter, Suhana Khan To Kick Any Guy Who Behaves Like 'Rahul' Or 'Raj')
