Bollywood actress, Taapsee Pannu met the man of her dreams, Mathias Boe at the inauguration ceremony of the Indian Badminton League. Since 2013, they have been dating one another. After being in a steady relationship for almost a decade, they tied the knot in a private wedding in March 2024 in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Although the actress never made an official declaration about her wedding, glimpses of the same surfaced on social media. Now, the actress opened up about keeping her wedding private.
In an interview with HT City, Taapsee Pannu was asked about the real reason for keeping her wedding extremely private. She revealed that other than her close friends and relatives, she isn't interested in involving a lot more people in the private affairs of her life. The Haseen Dillruba actress mentioned that she was actually avoiding the netizens' scrutiny in her wedding glimpses. Talking about the same, she shared:
"I just am not very sure if I want to let my personal life and the people involved in it, go through the kind of scrutiny that happens when a public figure gets married. It’s me who has signed up for this, not my partner, not the people who were involved in the wedding. I am not sure about how I feel about it being out there, that’s why I’ve kept it to myself.”

In the same conversation, Taapsee mentioned that she had no intention to keep the wedding private. However, to avoid such judgements, she didn't post anything on social media or make any official announcement. Instead, as Taapsee wanted, she enjoyed the special day of her life with everything she ever wanted. In her words:
"The people who are genuinely close to me were a part of the celebration and always knew about my relationship and my intentions about when and how I want to get married. I just didn’t want to make it a public affair, because then I will start getting worried about how it is perceived, rather than really enjoying the way I would want to do it. Subconsciously, I would start thinking about how it feels from the outside which I did not want to think about, especially for this one thing, because it’s hopefully happening once in life!"
On April 3, 2024, we stumbled upon the first video from the actress' super-secretive wedding with Mathias. For the wedding, she stunned in a red and gold-toned, heavily embroidered Patiala suit with a matching dupatta, featuring a broad kiran border. Traditional jewellery and braided hair adorned with a paranda completed her wedding look. In the video, the then-bride was seen dancing her way towards the stage enthusiastically. On the other hand, Mathias, who was waiting patiently for her, looked handsome in a rose pink-hued sherwani with matching pyjamas, a doshala and a turban adorned with a kalgi. The duo was then spotted exchanging their varmalas, and also did a little happy dance, afterwards.

We also got hold of another clip from Taapsee's sangeet night. Therein, the then-to-be bride and groom were seen lost in each other's embrace while they were performing a romantic duet dance. In the clip, the much-in-love couple was seen dancing to the song, Just The Way You Are, which was simply unmissable. For the night, Taapsee slipped into a pastel-hued embellished sharara set with feather detailing at the borders. On the other hand, the Danish groom-to-be looked handsome in a pink-hued tuxedo.
