Sydney Sweeney has constantly been in the spotlight for her role in the series, Euphoria. The gorgeous actress's character, 'Cassie', had some bold scenes, including shirtless and nude ones, as she, in the finale, played the role of an adult content creator. Well, Sydney has spoken about it, and she defended the same as well, while taking jabs at her critics. Euphoria has come to an end with Season 3, episode 8; however, Sydney is still in talks, and she recently made headlines again after a shocking appearance at Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Her presence was shocking to Charles Barkley as well, who reacted to Sweeney's appearance at the game.
Charles Barkley earlier hit the headlines as he commented on Cardi B as she performed during the halftime of the NBA Finals. For the same reason, he had to face backlash. It was during the halftime that Cardi B performed, and Charles cheekily commented that the singer got the initials wrong, as he's sure that she should have 'D's rather than 'B's. While he himself said that this was a sense of humour and it sparked laughter, it didn't take the social media users take much time to slam such a comment.

Well, now Charles Barkley is shocked over Sydney Sweeney's appearance at Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Knicks and the Spurs. Sydney wore a Jalen Brunson jersey in San Antonio. Well, in a clip, the actress was seen standing next to Tracy Morgan, Allan Houston, Avery Johnson, and Patrick Ewing. Charles Barkley was left surprised with the same, and he, in shock, said:
"Sydney Sweeney is here? Everybody is a New York Knicks fan now."
Speaking about Sydney Sweeney, she has constantly been making headlines for her role in Euphoria. Recently, Sweeney had a conversation with Variety, wherein she revealed that she actually finds it interesting how people scrutinise how 'Cassie' was treated on the show, and then do the same to her in real life. She said that sometimes it's hard, when asked about being criticised, even after pushing herself so hard to get 'Cassie's character right in her plotline. Sydney also stated that she's hopeful that people one day could actually see the good work and efforts, filtering out the criticism and clickbait. She said:
"To be honest, sometimes it’s hard, but I hope maybe years from now, when people are separated from the craziness and the clickbait of social media, someone who sits back and watch it all, doing a deep dive, goes, 'Huh, maybe we all had this very wrong.'"

Charles Barkley has already hit the headlines with his comments on Cardi B, and he later threw a dare to ESPN to fire him. He appeared on Fox Sports Radio, and while not directly, he addressed the buzz around his comment on Cardi B. He mentioned that he hopes ESPN will fire him, as he has 6-7 years left on his contract and there's no way he would work that long, so they should just pay and fire him.
Barkley also mentioned that he's at peace with the fact that while some people like him, there are some people who don't, and thus he has nothing to do with who doesn't like his sense of humour. Additionally, ESNP doesn't have the authority to fire Barkley, as he doesn't work for them directly. To mention, it's the first time that the show, Inside the NBA, was broadcast as a studio show, before, during, and after the NBA Finals on ESPN. The show is actually of TNT's and thus, in the case of firing Barkley for his comment, he was not in control of ESPN.
