A mom and a son bond over a lot of things. And as the son starts growing up, he becomes the person, who takes care of his mother, but he can never dare to overpower her. We have all been a victim of going shopping with our mother and getting embarrassed when she bargains like anything, with the shopkeeper. Such was the situation with the legendary actor, late Irrfan Khan's son as he got a major master class on "how to bargain" from his mom, Sutapa Sikdar.
It was on April 29, 2020, that the great actor, Irrfan Khan had left us for his heavenly abode. He was admitted to the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai and had passed away due to a colon infection. After Irrfan Khan's death, it has been a tough time for his family, but since then the doting son, Babil Khan is taking care of his mother, Sutapa Sikdar and brother, Ayaan Khan. Babil enjoys a massive fan following on Instagram and he often shares glimpses of his life on his social media account.
A few hours ago, Babil Khan again shared an excerpt from his life, where his mother, Sutapa Sikdar was seen giving him some bargaining lessons at a shoe shop in Gangtok. Sharing the video, Babil wrote, "Isha (@ishasharvani) and I getting a master class on how to bargain in Gangtok by mother of all business modules, AKA @sikdarsutapa." Indeed, Sutapa Sikdar's bargaining skills are top-notch and would remind you of your mother.
As soon as the video was shared, Babil's mother, Sutapa Sikdar took to the comments section and asked her son to thank her as she was helping him in buying the shoes. She wrote, "Babil!! Oye Hero. say thanks first. I was buying shoes for you!! for your entire team of light boys.!! (yes time to disclose you were one of them) as thank you gift from you to them!! In Gangtok bylanes for qareeb qareeb single shoot."
Replying to Sutapa Sikdar's comment, Babil Khan wrote, "@sikdarsutapa mamma, you’re the wind in my turbine, you’re the sun in my solar car panels, you’re the extra mirchi in my dal makhani, you’re the one that carries this imbecile for 9 months in her womb and the 22 years in life/sacrifice - ab bolta rahun kya? Kyunki phir book likhni padegi. I love you but you already know that." Not only that, Babil took a screenshot of the comment and shared it on his IG stories and wrote, "@sikdarsutapa the most compassionate producer in the world. The only true unbiased humanitarian I have met. I love you."
On September 22, 2020, Babil had taken to his IG handle to share a picture in which his mother had come to see him off at the airport as he was leaving for abroad for his studies. He had captioned the picture as "You told me to take care of her but it turned out that she took care of us. Mamma, that light house in the storm, I hope I can give you the world to travel, and everything more that you desire, there is nothing left for me to live now but you and Ayaan."
On the work front, Babil Khan will debut in Netflix's upcoming movie, Qala.
