After winning the coveted title of Miss Universe at the age of 19, Sushmita surprised everyone with her decision to adopt her first child, Renee at the age of 24. Sushmita is currently leading all the headlines for her relationship with IPL founder, Lalit Modi. On July 14, 2022, Lalit Modi had announced the news of dating the former Miss Universe through his Twitter handle. By posting an array of throwback pictures with Sushmita and some from their recent vacation in the Maldives, Lalit had tweeted:

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sushmita Sen’s ex-boyfriend, Rohman Shawl reacted to her relationship with Lalit Modi. Sharing his happiness over the same and heaping praises on Lalit, Rohman said:
“Let’s be happy for them na. Love is beautiful. All I know is if she has chosen someone, he is worth it!”
For the unversed, Sushmita Sen was earlier dating Noida-based model, Rohman Shawl. The two had been in a steady relationship for more than three years. However, the two parted ways in December 2021. Sharing a picture with him, Sushmita addressed her breakup with Rohman and had written:
"We began as friends, we remain friends!! The relationship was long over…the love remains!"

After announcing the news of his relationship with Sushmita, the former cricket administrator had also changed his Instagram bio and display picture. For the unversed, Lalit Modi is the first chairman and commissioner of the Indian T20 tournament.
