Bollywood actor, Sunny Deol, who was recently seen in the film, Gadar 2, is currently on cloud nine. Reportedly, his film witnessed a huge success at the box office and made a total collection of Rs. 512 crores ever since its release on August 11, 2023. Sunny also hosted a success bash on the wonderful occasion, and it was his camaraderie with Shah Rukh, that grabbed many eyeballs at the event. For the unversed, after co-starring in Yash Chopra’s 1993 film, Darr, Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol didn't speak to each other for 16 years.
In a recent conversation on Rajat Sharma's show, Aap Ki Adalat, Sunny Deol finally opened up about his feud with Shah Rukh Khan and revealed that they both have moved past it. Reflecting on the same, the actor added that he and Shah Rukh have now realised the childishness of their behaviour. Shedding light on his relationship with SRK, Sunny said:
“A time comes when you forget everything that happened and you understand that that should not have happened as that was childishness. Definitely, after that Shah Rukh and I have met each other multiple times. We have talked about films. He watched my film with the whole family, he also called me up.”

In one of his previous interviews with Times Now, Sunny Deol revealed that Shah Rukh Khan watched his film, Gadar 2 and even praised his performance in the film. He further mentioned that Gauri Khan and Aryan Khan also congratulated him for his massive achievement and were happy for him. Finally, the internet roared with happiness when Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan apparently ended their years-old cold war and gave each other a warm hug at Gadar 2’s success bash. The glimpses went viral in no time, and fans were delighted to see Sunny and SRK happily smiling and embracing each other in a tight hug in front of the media.
For the unversed, it all started with the film, Darr, starring Sunny Deol, Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla in the lead roles, wherein SRK played an antagonist and garnered a lot of love from the audience. Though Sunny Deol played the role of a dutiful husband, people loved Shah Rukh’s character of an obsessive lover more, which didn't go well with the former. The film was a major commercial success and was declared a blockbuster at the box office.

During the filming of Darr, Sunny Deol was unhappy with how his character of an Indian Navy officer was depicted as weak in the film, while SRK’s character of the antagonist was being glorified. In his earlier appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, Sunny opened up about the same and shared that he had a heated discussion with Yash Chopra regarding his concern and tried to explain to him how his character of a commando officer in the film turned out to be a joke. The actor even recalled that he tore his own pants with his hands in frustration during one of these discussions.
