Late Sunjay Kapur's 6-Yr-Old Son Surprises Priya With Birthday Card, On First Birthday Without Him

Sunjay Kapur’s third wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur, has turned a year older today, on December 15, 2025. However, this year’s birthday would be quite different for Priya as her husband and UK-based businessman, Sunjay, passed away on June 12, 2025. Sunjay was earlier married to Bollywood actress, Karisma Kapoor. Currently, Sunjay’s kids, Samaira and Kiaan, are involved in a legal fiasco with their stepmother, Priya. A while ago, Sunjay’s widow penned a heartwrenching note on her special day.

Priya Sachdev Kapur misses her late husband, Sunjay Kapur, on her birthday

A while ago, Priya Sachdev Kapur took to her Instagram Stories and penned a heartwrenching note. She also shared a screenshot of a birthday wish post made by her husband years back. In the note, Priya called her this year’s birthday a 'hard day'. She mentioned that she used to always look forward to her birthday cards and wishes that her husband, Sunjay, gave her. She highlighted how those things were filled with love, affection and appreciation. Priya added that she cannot celebrate her life when she has lost the love of her life, Sunjay Kapur. For the uninitiated, Sunjay inhaled a bee, which allegedly stung him in the throat. This attack caused a severe allergic reaction, leading to a fatal cardiac arrest. She wrote:

"Today is a hard day for me. I always looked forward to my birthday cards and wishes from you. They were filled with your love, affection and appreciation for me. I cannot celebrate my life when I have lost the love of my life!"

Priya Sachdev finds solace in her children on her special day

In the second half of her note, Priya mentioned that she feels Sunjay close in the smallest moments. She shared that this time, her son, Azarias, made her a birthday card and her daughter, Safira, wished her at midnight. For those unaware, Azarias is the son of Priya and Sunjay, and Safira is the daughter of Priya and her ex-husband, Vikram Chatwal. Priya concluded her note, sharing that through her children, she can see the same love and appreciation that Sunjay had for her. She wrote:

"But in the smallest moments, I feel you close. Azarias made me a birthday card, and Safira wished me at midnight. That is enough for me. Through the children, I see the same love and appreciation you had for me, and I know you are still here with us."

Priya shared another post on her Instagram Stories on December 15, 2025. The post featured Sunjay Kapur’s heartfelt birthday wish to his beloved, Priya. In the note, the businessman called Priya a 'best friend', an 'amazing wife' and 'mother'. He also expressed gratitude and thanked her for being the best. The note can be read as:

"My J, here's wishing you the happiest birthday ever! My best friend and the most amazing wife and mother, and task master in the world. I love you! The most! W to staying young forever and making every day count. Thank you for being my partner in our journey, you truly are the best!"
