Sunjay Kapur's Sister, Mandhira Lashes Out At Priya Sachdev, 'You're Using Our Money To Fight Us...'

Business tycoon and Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, passed away in June 2025, and soon after his death, there was a family feud regarding his Rs. 30,000 crores will. The entire will, dated March 21, 2025, reportedly left Sunjay’s entire property to his third wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur. It was Sunjay’s kids with his ex-wife, Karisma Kapoor, who filed a plea in the Delhi High Court alleging that his widow, Priya Kapur, had forged the will.

Ever since the estate battle began, there has been a lot of blame game. From Karisma’s kids challenging the authenticity of the will to Sunjay’s sister, Mandhira, claiming foul play in her brother’s death. In a recent podcast, InControversial, Mandhira lashes out at Priya and questions her intentions. Stating that she is not the face of the family, Mandhira said:

“We will take this legacy forward, we being the Kapoors. She's not the face for this family. She's not the face for this company. She shouldn't even be around… Our journey with Sona was very personal. We've been very proud of Sona. Dad was an innovator. It's like our child is being kidnapped and we will find it.”

Mandhira claims foul play in her brother, Sunjay Kapur’s, death

In the same conversation, Mandhira questioned Sunjay Kapur’s death and revealed that she couldn’t believe he died of natural causes. Going further in the conversation, Mandhira said it was hard to believe that Sunjay didn’t care about his two children from his previous marriage to Karisma Kapoor and that he left the entire property to his third wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur.

Revealing how his third wife, Priya, is using the family’s money to fight against them, Mandhira stated:

“I'm not going to let my father's hard work and legacy get away from him... The truth will come out. You're using our money to fight us. That's the strange bit. And I'd like her to come on record to say that he didn't give a damn about his kids and wanted to cut them out. There is no way in hell he chose his third wife over his two kids… I don't feel my brother died of natural causes. I'm sorry. My brother was a healthy guy, and I will get to the bottom of everything.”

Sunjay Kapoor’s inheritance battle

The late industrialist Sunjay Kapur's sprawling estate, worth thousands of crores, has taken a sharper turn after the Delhi High Court questioned Priya and the contentious will's executor, Shraddha Suri Marwah, for objecting to Samaira and Kiaan's request for a forensic examination of Sunjay's alleged final will. The complainants have alleged that the will is forged and fabricated, intended to exclude them from their late father’s estate.

As per the latest reports, Priya resisted calls for a forensic examination of the will, arguing that she has already filed all necessary legal replies and defending the legitimacy of the document that forms the basis of her claim to both the estate and control over family business interests.
