Finally, the big day is here when Sumeet Vyas and Ekta Kaul will become Permanent Roommates for life. Their wedding festivities started off on September 13, 2018, with an auspicious note, i.e. with puja followed by ladies sangeet and then Ekta's mehendi ceremony. On September 14, 2018, haldi ritual took place in the morning, post which the soon-to-be-married couple hosted a fun-filled sangeet ceremony in the evening. Sumeet Vyas and Ekta Kaul’s wedding is taking place in Jammu, and the couple’s first look is out. The couple is looking ravishing in their real-life wedding avatars. Ekta is turning heads in her maroon-coloured lehenga, which she teamed up with double dupattas. One of her dupatta is of matching colour maroon and the other one is peach, enhacing her overall bridal look. Amidst the pre-wedding ceremonies’ pictures and videos that are flooded on the internet, we got a glimpse of Sumeet and Ekta’s wedding invitation card as well. Sumeet and Ekta’s wedding card is designed by Puneet Gupta and it is quite simple and elegant just like the couple. Their quirky invite has, "Shit just got real" and "Holy Shit, we are actually getting married" written on it. In an interview earlier, Sumeet talked about his wedding card, and said, "It is a reflection of me. Actually, I did not want it to be regular, boring card with a lot of details but a quirky, yet simple one. Ekta ideated, the designers sent a few designs and we jointly decided to go ahead with this. Being the writer, I came up with the content."

Another video of Sumeet got shared on the social media, wherein the groom talked about his engagement ring for Ekta. In an interview with 'Humans Of Bombay', Sumeet shared how he met Ekta and how he ended up specifying to her on their third outing that it was a ‘date’. He had stated, “I’d been single for some time – you know that phase where your friends say, ‘you’re single, doing well, don’t get into a relationship’? – I tried but got over it quickly. Around then, I met her at shows & on sets, but I didn’t know how to pursue her! She tweeted about my show & we started talking, I invited her to my play & we went out after! We ended up talking for hours about acting. By the third time, I had a feeling she wasn’t getting it! So I specified, ‘This is a date okay? & she just nodded!”
